@@VipiModel-nk3ce Humans are flawed, even experienced 737 commanders. The rules state, that the captain must remove his hands from the thrust lever at v1. So the captain did a clear mistake here by leaving his hands on the thrust levers until rotation.
@nicoroz69122 ай бұрын
@@VipiModel-nk3ce Well @cockpitchatter1 is correct, you should not keep your hands on after V1. You seem to assume that "Commanders" can't make mistakes apparently, therefore you might want to get a reality check. I also saw that in another post you state that you're a Captain yourself with quite an impressive background therefore I suggest you review your SOPs and refresh your CRM skills because a lot of air accidents are cause by Captains who think they are always right, just like yourself.

Why did he retract the spoilers at about 80kts??? Hand still on thrust levers after v1, thrust idle for more than momentary period below 500ft, disarms spoilers at a stupid fast speed! That’s the three strikes that allow me to say “what a complete buffoon!” I thought TAROM had improved their standards over the years… Seriously flawed idea to allow filming in the flightdeck unless you’re really strong on SOPs.
@Elnino29102 ай бұрын
@Klink330 speed brake totally ineffective at those speeds. its job is to put weight on wheels to make main gear braking effective at high speed. At the speeds he stowed it wheel brakes are what's stopping the aircraft as all the weight is on wheels due to the wings not producing much lift. Thrust idle on approach is totally fine if correcting for environmental conditions which in this video it clearly is. You don't sit and watch the flaps overspeed. This isn't busting any stable approach criteria for any operator I'm aware of.
@Klink3302 ай бұрын
@ I completely understand that, but I’ll bet my house that Boeing, like Airbus, have an SOP that says don’t retract it until clearing the runway (or at taxi speed). It’s a distraction issue as well.
@Elnino29102 ай бұрын
@ no, each company is different there’s no set Boeing sop for this. Also, if the commander of a 70T jet is getting distracted on a landing roll at stowing a speedbrake then he should be nowhere near a jet never mind the right seat. Here it seems early of course, and I was surprised given the conditions and the tailwind but I have no idea about runway length. I would like to assume he wouldn’t be doing it on a 1800m

@@VipiModel-nk3ce then you’ll know that below 1000ft stabilisation criteria for most airlines state the thrust levers have to be in an appropriate position. Obviously airbus slightly different due to the thrust levers not moving until the flare but with Boeing, being at Idle from 200ft is not appropriate. Either you’re too fast or the wind has shifted and you’re getting close to a flap over speed and potential blow back…. Burn of course you know all this…. 😉
