Just before that (crash) landing at 1:14 the pilot announced, "Gear down, Hook down."

There's really only one reigning turboprop above all else and that is the Beech King Air. With it's rich history and many models it has (and still ) enjoys great success in all categories. Never suffered any fatal inflight breakups or deadly harmonics in the tailplane for starters. All Cessna landing gear is as spindly and weak as it gets and the skin feels wrinkly when you press on it. Beech doesn't suffer from that and all models proved solid. Cessna builds fine single engine "cheap" trainers but don't skimp on a serious turbine twin where it counts. Money better spent, just my opinion and some experience.

So the bottom line continues to be, if you're loaded and have nothing else to do with ~$500,000/year, you too can have a very nice plane.
@sonnyburnett87252 күн бұрын
Hope they had MX take a look at that nose gear, it shimmied pretty hard.

Twin turbo-props (unless talking about the King Air types) are in decline and you know it. The supremacy of the singles is here to stay. Singles give you unparalleled speed, altitude, climb rate, load and simplicity.

I flew it a good bit. As all the clean wing Cessna Twin Models, it was extremely stable and Pilot Friendly. I was never in love with it. My preference was the King Air 200 for Turbine Cabin Class. But as usual Pro Pilots move up the ladder leaving many Aircraft Types behind!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed, those are only good for a budget long range planes. However the TBM and Pilatus PC-12 are more comfortable, offer the same range, and same GPH with lower maintenance costs (That of course, after your initial capital investment)

The interior fit and finish is not what I'd expect for that much money. It looks like a 1970 Pinto inside.

At 6:42, what’s wrong with the nose wheel?

Maybe It's A Castering Nose Wheel Or Maybe It Became A Castering Nose Wheel After It Slammed Into The Runway Multiple Times! Thank You.

@@georgelevin6134 Well depends on how much fuel you've got on board. Plus the cost for overhauling two engines instead of one.

From what people have told me Cessna wants to cell people a Citation Jet and they do a terrible job of supporting the turbo props. Buyer beware!!

What do you mean by CELL? SELL makes more sense. Not CENTS. Get it?

Cessna stopped supporting the Cessna 441 (except for parts ) 3 decades ago, so they could sell teh slowtation C500/550.

Does the nose gear shimmy on all of them on landing? It actually sounds like a scary airplane overall. Did the FAA certify it, or did Boeing? 😂😅😂😅

Flew the Conquest II well over a thousand hours had the steam gauges and original auto pilot which I agree was a piece of crap and Garrett four blade. I still say it was a fine airplane even with its anomalies.
@kglesq1Ай бұрын
Nose gear only shimmys after you smash it into the ground at around 15 FPS multiple times in one landing. For example, the landing at 1:14
