They’ve funded new hospitals for those 7 hospitals struggling with falling RAAC. That only made the local news as far as I can work out. 6 years we were promised by BJ and got nothing. After 2 months we have funding in place. For people relying on these hospitals, that’s a huge result.

I feel sorry for true Liverpudlians. I know you are historically Labour Party supporters with good reason in the 20th Century, but this is the 21st Century and Labour no longer represents the working class. In addition, look what a wasteland Labour local government have made of the whole of Merseyside in replacing the well-built housing built in the Victorian and other eras since and replacing it with whole areas of garbage housing. London didn't flatten their old houses but upgraded them and they are the most valuable real estate now.

I like how Ava is throwing questions back, this kind of comes across as an interview rather than a podcast at the start, Laura is great but is would be good to hear more of what she thinks rather than statements being a short setup to a question.

I suspect every Labour Party volunteer does their best and for zero reward and probably gets a peanut slush fund raised locally too. You would think donor money would be used to run the whole Party and pay for adverts and surveys as well As back office and all the other things an organisation needs NOT a few individual clothes, glasses, dresses, holidays in New York. The Pigs are definitely more equal on this farm. Like CEO of charities they think they are amazing yet it’s the free volunteers that do much for nothing at all. The CEO takes a huge wedge plus a massive pension as will the number two and three and four, the poor bloody footslogger will get laughed at instead as a mug.

It's hardly surprising Labour are not announcing policy. It's been clear for a number of years now that the current leadership's big priority is to stem the progressive wing of the party rather than actually governing, and this hasn't changed since they've taken office. This is the biggest problem I and many others like me have had with Starmer. He and his political goals don't offer the country anything, and far from thinking they're worse than or equal to the Tories as many like to accuse us of thinking, the main issue that annoys me is that we're going to have this lame duck do nothing administration that then gets booted out 5 or 10 years down the line for another decade and a half of Tory rule. It really is shockingly stunning that after the financial crisis of 2008, and the austerity agenda of the Cameron's Tories, that the country have literally allowed the political class to make fools of us all. Where we should have been rising up and demanding change, we've instead pandered to and allowed the establishment to lock in another quarter of a century of unchallenged rule.

What's the point of party conference? Sex! Conference = no strings attached, or so they think. There are actually some delegates who haven't come for sex, and they complain about being propositioned, especially women. Quite right, too! Maybe those who're there for sex need to wear some covert symbol.
