chills down my spine & tears in my eyes . the emotions this brought up . all those years ago i listened to this song in high school after a long night of making music with my best friend that got me into progressive metal . headphones in & in the dark i listened & was submerged in a whole different world, just out of the blue, like a spiritual experience . afterwards for the first time, i was able to think of musical ideas with all the different instruments playing at once . i started tearing up . emotional, i went back into my homies room to see if he was still awake . he was & we ended up having a super deep conversation & that was the start of when we really became close . my friend passed away a few years ago & i know how much he would've loved to hear this . this song always carried extra value for me , but the impact this video just had on me is beyond words . from the bottom of my heart, thank you .

Bare with me here. I’m almost 30 years old. Music has always been the most important thing in my life. Especially for my mental state of mind (probably not healthy but it’s true) my favorite bands are Tool/Slipknot/LP/Deftones (saying this just for perspective) and I just need you to know this is the greatest song I’ve ever heard. As it turns out, this year became the most painful and difficult year of my life. Absolutely everything that could go wrong, did. But, as you all can see, I'm still around (somehow). This song definitely is one of the few things that keep my mind under control on particularly difficult days. To think that art can bring such joy and trigger the entire spectrum of human emotion is beyond fantastic. It's quite beautiful. This song definitely sends me through a wide variety of emotions, but leave me in a hopeful, bittersweet and content state. "Outliers" has essentially become another tool for me to use, either for pleasure or (in a dramatic wording) manipulate my own thoughts and feelings when the going gets rough. Thank you for releasing this piece of art. I will continue to listen to everything you guys put out. I don't expect just any song to match this one (in sense of emotional attachment to me or perfect blend between harmony and technicality), but I don't believe AVIATIONS can disappoint.
