Is this Band older than, Plini, Intervals, sithu Aye, CHON etc? Because if they in-fact Are older, i think its safe to say this band birthed the lot of them, or deeply inspired and birthed the sounds from them because man, the Contortion is deep in playing AND in lyrics

If you want to listen to them, try starting with Februus and listen from start to finish, than listen to La Partition. My favorite songs from them personally are Our Embrace, Lover, and Quittance.

Yesterday, I was introduced to "The Contortionist" and I now find myself deeply appreciating their music. This particular song - "Language I: Intuition" - evokes the essence of a timeless tale - intricate, thrilling, sensual. It’s truly astounding that such musical gems remain undiscovered by many - yet I feel immensely fortunate to have unearthed this band. The complexity and allure of their compositions captivate my senses, leaving an indelible impression that resonates deeply within me. This discovery feels akin to finding a hidden treasure amidst a sea of mediocrity. I am sincerely grateful for the music and the emotions it evokes. Thank you for this extraordinary musical experience! (20/6/2024)

There's only a handful of songs that I've heard in 33 years that make me shed a man tear everytime. This is one of them.

Perfect. I love riding around to the bank or to the store listening to this song, especially when it's raining.

10 years ago, I told Mike he has a powerful and captivating presence on stage, and he said, "Really? Wow, that means a lot man. Thank you!" Lol anyway, that was pretty cool. He's a super nice and humble guy, and truly is fun to watch. I'm not even sure if they're still doing shows

+Jon Watson it sure feels incomplete

Heck the whole album feels like incomplete if you take out a song, any of them. All the fucking album is just like one big sectioned song....

Seab The Doggo I think the one song that’s out of place is probably Arise. It kind of comes out of nowhere. Still a great track nonetheless.

I havnt felt this much admiration for a band since hearing Animals as Leaders and Between the Buried and Me.

Their first album is still one of my favorites. Truly wasn't a huge fan of the second album, but this song is very beautiful, well written, and I really look forward to the release of this album.

How did you not like Intrinsic? Causality and Dreaming Schematics are such life-changing songs.
@jordanspencer201310 жыл бұрын
Ryan Wilkerson Didn't say it didn't have any good songs. Also perhaps my expectation of the CD was a little too high and also was expecting something different. I am all for bands changing their sound and evolving which they did on Intrinsic, but I just found it harder to enjoy from start to finish whereas with Exoplanet, just every song is spectacular (in my opinion of course).

Jordan Spencer totally agree

Ryan Wilkerson If you want life-changing, listen to the outros from Flourish or Exoplanet, and the intro to Exoplanet III. They brought Intrinsic to its knees because of the music and the SCOPE of the lyrics; one is not complete without the other
