I dunno, it very much feels to me like she uh... might have deserved that burning. Like, she rejected the idea of prayer, pursued magic after being told it was evil, and as described they try to teach her the right way of living, but she "cast off her shackles" and "reject(ed) her given name", which appears to imply that even after she was initially spared in an effort to teach her right, she returned to the dark forces she was drawn to initially. Then, she manages to escape a witch burning, and flees into the woods where she makes a pact with the devil for power, and uses it to slaughter the whole town. She was already the monster, seeking dark things and reaching for power for its own sake. She wasn't created by mistreatment, she used her "mistreatment" as justification for the horrors she sought to inflict on others in service of the dark powers she gave herself to.

His name is John Z King. He is a semi-verbal autistic man in his 20s currently but in his origin story occurs when he was 6. His mom was a mutant and the Mutant Recapturing division killed her in front of him. Because he was nonverbal he was sent to a center to basically shock ‘bad,’ behaviors out of him. It’s here where he learned that his power is to talk with his mind using all manner of electrical or radio devices. He can even mimic all the voices he hears and thrown the voices so it misdirects enemies. He can also, if touching a communication device of any kind, hear enemy chatter even if both radios are turned off.
@jackster9775 Жыл бұрын
On his 12th birthday, he escapes the center with Magneto’s help. Although Magneto was more of a getaway driver here as Magneto had been attacking the center anyway. And in this universe, Magneto’s goal isn’t anti-human. It’s anti-state. He’s still incredibly violent but he frequently runs mutual aid food things for the homeless and has humans at all levels of his brotherhood.

While the skeletons held me down I could only watch as more and more of my village brethren got dragged into the church and held in seats, one skeleton, ghoul or some other forsaken devil at their sides holding them with an iron grip. Some cried, some struggled, some cursed and the rest prayed, but everyone came to silence as She got into the pulpit. "Rejoice, my fellows, for tonight we welcome back the one that was cast out once... That a long time ago had to see their family burn at the stake and them had a cross burned on her face to clean her mind from sin" She said it, poison spilling both from her words and mouth, burning the pulpit and filling the air with acrid smoke, raising her head, so everyone could see the nasty scar in her forehead... I was the one that did it, I spoke in her favor that day. She was only a 5 year old and I could save her, god could save her, god could save us now. I prayed, I ignored her twisted sermon and prayed until I felt a hand cover my mouth. " My my Father..." She said now right in front of me, eyes level with mine and despite the claws that dug in my arm as I tried to wiggle my arms free, despite even the acid that fell on my lap as she spoke, the note of sadness behind her scorn in those words was what hurt me more than anything. "Dont worry my kind father, I know you have been led astray... " Oh no, no nononono, I knew those words, I had said them long ago, but it was with the best intentions " All I need is to brand you, so sin can never touch your mind again," And with that she dangled the pentagram that she used as a necklace in front of me, the metal starting to burn red hot even with no flame under it "It will only hurt a moment, but this hurt is first step in the path of salvation..."
