I'm pretty new to the hobby and just ordered myself an avic and a G.pulchripes today, I'm still nervous about going wrong or not knowing enough when it comes to tarantulas but I cannot say how much your channel has helped me. I only found it earlier this evening as someone on a facebook group recommended it to me, and already I just feel so much less worried about keeping my first arboreal. Your calm demeanour and your enthusiasm and the way you explain things is just so, so reassuring and I already feel more confident, I'm even more excited to get my A. Aviculara now! Thank you immensely, I look forward to watching the rest of your videos!

I've been going back and fourth about getting into the hobby for 3 years now and I'm so glad I finally made the leap. This autumn I brought my first T, a curly hair (unknown if true or hobby form but I'm not interested in breeding either way), and the seller gave me an N. chromatus sling for free. Now i've got my G. pulchripes and A.avicularia on the way and i'm so excited. The people in this hobby have been beyond kind and helpful to me and i've already learnt what a fantastic community it is.

I'm not sure if they're later in their gestation than the other egg sacs I've seen in your videos, but I find it very interesting that they're not holding onto their abdomens like some of the others that you have opened. Wow, amazing clutch! Congratulations Beastie team! A little remark on the moss and bark part, I highly recommend people to keep away from sterilizing, you can do way more harm than good with this approach. However, since many will do it regardless of advice, what you can do if you really want to do it is to let the items soak in pure water overnight, this will make all the crawlers leave the items and you won't kill the moss or damage the wood. You would miss out on the beneficial micro-fauna it comes with, but I guess this is the best way to do it if you really want this approach. And if you wanna go this sterile way, you can add captive bred isopods and springtails. But keep in mind something very important, Dave's been doing it the natural way for many years without any problems of this nature, even with amphibians which are waaaaay more sensitive than T's. So there's that.

Nice video. Yes sterilizing stuff is not good! Nice tanks you build. I also collect moss, bark and soil from nature. When i planted my back yard i saved all the soil i digged up. It was a claysoil. I mux tgat up or yse it pure in some enclosures, especially for baboons. Nice clutch there. Avics are speicies i have no experience in breeding. I have thot have that many speicies of honestly. When i bred tarantulas seriously i putted them in individual pots when they where eggs with legs or nymphs, if the eggsack was small. Because chasing around fully develoupt spiderlings us much harder. If the clutch was very large i sold them off when they where eggs with legs, or i letted canibalisms reducing the numbers a little
