Ah seeing this brings back memories however my female was gung ho and handked the little male quite gently except when she would throw her 1st set of legs down hard and almost blow the lik guy across the tank. Lol. I am loving my 1st nstar nymphs and cannot wait till they are propper lil slings. Beautuful creatures create more beautiful creatures just a lovely day. Great video love all you two do fantastic to see a married couple in a hobby together wonderful way to spend time with those they love. 2 big thumbs up guys.🎉

Avic avic males are not confident creatures. They just are so easy going and laid back they can be a fantastic spider to watch do almost anything so graceful yet a tad clumsy at pairing however they take their time and are gentle with the ladies which I am almost 100% sure is why they do not eat their males as much as other species.

This was the best pairing video I've ever seen. I am so glad you were able to get so close with the camera. Most times I can't see clearly, the point of insemination, no matter how hard I try. There was no missing this time. I am so glad you also explained the difference between species, in this regard, as well. I refuse to have a collection without a few avic avics I have 2 females one who just produced her 1st sac and the other is just a teenager. I have the mature male who insemination my mature female and a sling m6 ( metallic pink toe) slin now these 1st nstar nymphs. I have plenty lol.

That was probably the funniest pairing I've seen to date lol the way the male was constantly tapping on the females abdomen was so funny, it looked like an annoying child, she was completely uninterested but he was determined, he was like, 'Hey girl, hey girl, hey girl, I'm here, let's get this party started, come on what ya doin, I'm here, hello?' I literally laughed out loud 😂 but saying all that I was suprised to see how gentle he was while inseminating. It's crazy how far cameras (and yours and camera lady's camera skills) have come since I first started watching your videos when you made the channel. Thanks for educating people. My Mom loathed spiders and tarantulas... especially the bigger ones. Well, for the last however many years I've veen trying to get her to learn about them so she wont be scared anymore. Lovely footage, that male was clearly on a mission, failure not acceptable. Also I thought about the fact, that avics cannot flick their hairs. Since they live in trees, the chance of getting caught by some hungry bird or bat is pretty big. And they will most likely attack from above. The spider would never be able to react in time if it had to defend itself "manually", instead the hairs are released in the same moment when the hunter snatches its prey. So many hairs in mouth and nose or even eyes should emphazise every predator to better let go of the spider instantly.
