Believe it or not but that's a common problem in Sweden. People are bad at responding to compliments because they don't want to respond and be seen as something better or as someone special. It's called law of Jante :))

Well honestly speaking he’s just trying to get valuable feedback on an element of the production and Chris is giving him completely irrelevant information. Compliments are nice but they were in a flow of production and it didn’t feel good for him to discuss that at that moment

I cried for days after Avicii passed. It felt weird shedding tears for someone i not only didn´t know, but also wasn´t a huge fan of. I liked his songs, it just isn´t the kind of music I put on by myself. It would be easy to put those tears down to him coming from Sweden like myself, and it would be easy to put it down to him being only 28. But it´s more than that. It feels like we lost a really special talent, something pure and special that really never comes around. Just such a shame that kind of talent always seems to come with a price. So fkn sad

Tim is way better and bigger than coldplay lol

@@jujasname 20 Years of globally dominating the charts in Rock and Pop vs 7-9 years in edm. Coldplay have the 7th most streams over the last decade while avicii isn't in the top 10. Coldplay is 17th in followers, avicii isn't even top 25. 6.7 billion top ten streams for CP as apposed to 5.2 billion for Avicii. Don't get me wrong, I love avicii and his music, but saying he's more dominant than Coldplay is just plain wrong.
@dibinification3 жыл бұрын
In terms of talent and what he has given to music, Avicii is way ahead of coldplay..I mean he revolutionised a genre.. In terms of Popularity ..maybe not bigger than coldplay.. but then Kim Kardasian is popular than most people in American but is she bigger than tim..not really.. Popularity and chart rankings are not everything
@jujasname3 жыл бұрын
@@Strategic_Reformer Ye what u just said is bs, Avicii is way more talented, and who cares about followers, do u think it's only about that? Lmao

@@jujasname can CP be as good as Tim in EDM? Of course not. Can Tim be as good as CP in rock and pop? Of course not. Theyre in their own genres, so we can't compare talent: the only thing we can compare are their numbers which is what I was looking at.

To all those who say Tim was ignoring the compliment and it's a Scandinavian thing. While it might be in their nature to be humble, that is not their cross to bear alone. Many cultures are like that. More specifically, many home producers are like this. My old friend Jason "Shine" Spanu was, and I'm sure still very much like this. Absolutely consumed with perfection, having listened to this piece of music probably hundreds, if not thousands of times before he had the opportunity to unveil it. The work these people put in is incredible. Hi to Jason and his family and to Tim I would say this, I had no idea you were this prolific and I'm sorry you are gone. Michael in Toronto.
