Hello, and thank you for watching.
Today’s topic: Persisting in the Face of Rejection
Believe
You have a voice, and you have a people, an audience.
Realize there is a place for you.
Those that reject you are not your people, not your place, at least not now.
There is wisdom in the universe. Trust it.
Forgive
Acid only burns the container that holds it.
Enjoy the journey.
If you are having fun and enjoying life, the sting of rejection is greatly diminished.
Take Action
Don’t ruminate, instead take action, move on to the next opportunity and forget what I behind you.
Vision
Believe in the day when those who rejected you now will pay top dollar for you.
Don’t compare
Others will boast of great success.
Keep your focus and appreciate your successes
“A big shot is a little shot who keeps on shooting, so keep trying.”

I think so, too. It really doesn't matter what your chosen profession is. We all must learn to persist in the face of rejection. Thanks for commenting.

This is a great video. One thing to really keep in mind when marketing is to make your marketing based on benefits for the client. 2/3 of your presentation or your pitch should focus on benefits for them, not how great you are. This is a major problem as most magicians want to tell you how great they are, how wonderful their tricks are, how they do this how they do that. That's great for other magicians but for the Layman it's much better to let them see that you have quality work, and then get down to the benefits of what they will feel, how their guests will delight, how real memories will be made, and whatever values and benefits you can offer them. Remember, this is about them deciding to buy a magic show which is way out of their usual Wheelhouse in most cases this is not about you showing off how great you are for the most part.

WOW! What an inspiring video David. This gives much needed hope to those who are trying and currently not getting those bookings. I think in most cases not taking it personally is very important to move forward. Thank you for all you do for your fellow magicians, whether pro or hobbyist.

I don't agree with the god stuff, but otherwise completely on point. Quite a few of my best (both top paying and repeat booking) clients turned me down when I was starting out.
