PTZ Optics has definitely felt the impact of other companies using the same manufacturer to produce the same cameras. They still have the best customer services of all the cameras that have the same look as what they have made popular among PTZ camera designs.

For the camera that's not showing on atem mini, it's definitely the limitation of HDMI cable. For anything longer than 20ft, we use SDI at our church (using BlackMagic's HDMI to SDI adapter and vice versa).

I have had very bad experience with audio drift using the ATEM mini. My issue was it would be fine in the beginning and would slowly drift out of sync with the audio. I would recommend you do a long test making sure the audio and video stay in sync for at least an hour. I would appreciate any feedback you have on how it works for you. I ended up bypassing the ATEM on audio input. It was a real struggle. I have heard others have the same issue.

Thanks for the information. I've personally used the ATEM Mini Pro since its release and now use the ATEM Mini Extreme and never experienced that issue. So far we've used this particular ATEM Mini for 3 services (2-HRS+) and no issues.

To avoid any audio drift, we've been feeding audio through camera and it's been fine (ie mixer's output goes to camera's mic input and the HDMI provides the final audio).

I've found your setup very similar to what I do at my church. I would only suggest adding more light behind the speaker but just enough so that there are no shadows . Also the old cameras you can bring them closer and to the front if possible to give a side angle of the speaker . If you have another camera you can have it as a backup for the congregation

Forgot to mention, if possible raise the TV a little and put the camera under because the camera seems a bit too high you can tell because it is more prone to capture the floor. Also having the camera at or below eye level gives a sense of respect and visibility which should be encouraged but not too low that we can look into someone's nostrils. Hope it helps. I have a question about audio with atem and avkans ptz. So i have this yamaha tf3 mixer connecting straight to the pc. Since i have to use obs plugin asio to get all sound from the mixer (channel 33/34), im worried if the video and sound won't sync. I wonder if there will be delay with the ptz if i connect it either with hdmi / sdi. My question is, if i connect the mixer to atem, is there a way i can get to channel 33/34 like with obs asio plugin? Without the plugin obs only recognizes channel 1/2 which is a channel for 1 microphone. Thanks

I’m not sure which OBS plug-in you are referring to. I personally don’t use that particular plugin ( or any OBS plugin ) - The ATEM software does allow for audio delay adjustments so that would be were I’d recommend adjusting audio settings if needed.

@@MonteWeaverofficial got it. Also im having issue with hdmi out on atem. Is it just plug and play? It doesnt seem to work on my monitor or 1 of the tvs i have at church. Maybe some tvs arent compatible? I heard using a hdmi splitter will fix the issue. Im not sure tho. Im planning to use the splitter anyway to output it to 4 monitors. Also is it possible to convert sdi to hdmi? Since i probably need 75ft hdmi and the diameter is huge. Thank you for the reply sorry if i have too many questions

Hello friend thanks for your videos, they are very helpful and guidance for PTZ enthusiasts. Please I need your help. I have never had PTZ cameras before. I bought 2 Fomako 20x cameras but I was disappointed by the slow speed of the pan movement, the call preset speed is very slow, it doesn't work for me. I already entered the setup and the maximum speed is 10 points. The question is, are the AVKANS cameras faster than the FOMAKO cameras in their call preset speed? I still have time to return the fomako to Amazon. Could you please make a video comparing the engine speeds of both brands? Stay tuned to reply. Thank you so much

I've never used the FOMAKO PTZ cameras so I don't know how their pan movement speeds compare to other PTZ cameras. Other than my PTZ Optics cameras, all other PTZ cameras on my channel have been sent to me from the companies. I only purchase equipment that I personal need for my business so I'm considering opening up donations on this channel so that funds can go towards purchasing equipment to review specially for the channel audience.

Maybe the high end Sony PTZ cameras provide the image you want. I haven’t used every camera and honesty thing the image from PTZ live streaming cameras look just fine.

How do you connect a microphone to this camera? I have an external mic plugged into the line in on the back of the PTZ but still no audio can be heard when viewing the feed.

Line IN & Mic IN are two totally different options. I personally DO NOT recommend connecting your audio mixer (Line IN) or microphone (Mic IN) into a PTZ camera. I always encourage running them separate into your live-streaming computer. I try to explain this in other videos on the channel as well when I live-stream and teach on Amazon LIVE - amazon.com/live/monteweaver .... I would encourage you to plug your mic into your computer and your PTZ camera into your computer, then in your live-streaming software you can add each individual source.

I noticed you have a 4k tv for a monitor. How are you sending your image. I use NDI with an old dell computer using NDI monitor with HDMI out put. I would like an easier way so I can control from our booth about 75 feet away. I would like to do away with the Dell.

If you’re referring to the confidence monitor on the back wall, it’s just an hdmi cable connect to a HDMI splitter.

@@keu274 1. Auto and Manual support. You can set up accordingly your experiences. Most peoples use Auto exposure. 2. You can preset this AVKANS PTZ Camera, Like to left top side, preset point 1. You just need to press button 1 on remote, camera will go to left top side you just set quickly.

Hello Sir. Hoping you may have a solution for this. I have almost the exact same setup at my church. Avkans 20X connected SDI to an Orei XD-500 SDI to HDMI converter into the ATEM Mini input 1. Im trying to do the exact same with the second AVKans PTZ camera, however in input 2 through 4 the picture colour is incorrect. Pretty much anything that's supposed to be blue is red and vice versa. Also tried with my Sony A6100 with adding a hdmi to sdi converter and its the same problem. I've been reading about changing the comour space in the camera to suite the ATEM mini, but haven't located where to do that in the settings. Have you had any issues with your SDI to HDMI to ATEM picture?

I personally just use the default settings, just slight adjustment to the exposure. I’m actually using only HDMI to eliminate extra SDI converters in the setup.

How good are the avkans in low light?

Other than 4K PTZ cameras, these cameras are the best cameras in low light. Regardless of manufacturer, these cameras just have smaller sensors.

Hey Monte, I am a pastor of a small church that moved from switcher studio to 1 ptz camera using OBS and easyworship. During our live streaming to Facebook the Facebook live freezes I have tried several video capture devices and still the facebook live streaming still freezes. Any suggestions you recommend? If Facebook is freezing, then that means the FB Platform is having an issue and you would need to reach out to their team for support. Typically I’ve seen freezing come from the OBS software. A refresh software update and rebooting your computer before each stream is a good place to start troubleshooting if you haven’t already. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, typically I check the computer event logs to find the error messages and troubleshoot from there.

@@newarkrefuge2744 you’re really going to have to troubleshoot to see what is causing the freezing. Maybe even consider hiring someone to look at your system and settings - there are so many variables that could cause the issues so looking at each component in the chain will be where to start troubleshooting.

You should mount the camera upside down to get more of a field of view without a bottom out incase you have people waling down the isle. Im sure you are not going to be looking straight up at the roof.

That wouldn’t work below the TV because mounting it below is too low. Mounting upside down above the TV gives the same view as mounting upright.

@@MonteWeaverofficial when I was adding the cameras to the joystick it only saw one camera on the network. I was able to figure out the settings to see all cameras in the scan. The Fomako Joystick uses ONVIT protocol.

@@Txm8de I have not used Fomako products, but some other ip joysticks have software where you can check the ip addresses of the connected devices and make changes. Also check each camera has a unique ip address
