I visited in December. I’m a beach goer. I knew this wasn’t on the beach so when I see that criticism in reviews, I laugh. I did wonder how they’d deal with an increased occupancy at the beach club. That’s my hesitation in returning. I was always on the first shuttle but that was added stress. Food was okay at restaurants but room service food was delicious. Spaghetti at the beach! I wish I ordered that on day one instead of my last day there - I thought that would be a weird order but I still regret that I waited so long. The presentation sales pitch? Say you’ve stayed at other secrets recently and had gone through it already. Signage is my biggest gripe as I couldn’t find my way to restaurants but I always found a staff member who was willing to lead me there. Language barriers? As a Canadian visiting, I put that on myself to be understanding. They attempt to speak more languages than I’ll ever learn.

Sounds like we had similar experiences and similar conclusions No way beach club can sustain full occupancy at that resort. It was over crowded as is at 1/3 occupancy

Hi! I've seen videos where men wear shorts, can you wear them for the restaurant?? I mean like dockers for example?

I wore pants, and was looked at very sternly at one of the restraunts. As long as you have a backup plan you should be ok

Building a resort in Tulum that is a 20 minute shuttle from the beach sounds incredibly stupid. I am more of a pool guy myself but not having the option of sea views or just walking to the beach is definitely a no go.

It's actually really beautiful resort and u can stay on the beach but it's a pricey upgrade for the villa

The wifi was adaquet for most. But it wasn't good enough for me to do my typical video uploads for KZbin. For creators it would be a challenge and frustrating. Luckily I have a machine at home that I can TeamViewer into so I can handle my workflow remotely still

We paid around $8000 cdn all in for airfair and resort Thats about $5000 Canadian Contrast that with a trip I have next month that was $2900 cdn all in to a different resort. Stay tuned for my experience there
