In that case, she mispronounced the T in that. She was probably trying to make a glottal stop but that would be a weird pronunciation in American English since the next word starts with a vowel. Americans would pronounce that T as a fast T and link it with the next word, English.
@alexanderk6121
@alexanderk6121 Жыл бұрын
No. Maybe she tried but there was no "T". Rewatch it at 0.25 speed. AFAIK, In American English, the T is pronounced as a "D" sound between two vowels. For example: better [beDDer], forty [forDy]. She said "the English". There was no "T" or "D" sound.

For russian native speaker it is very hard to use articles properly in many cases coz russian doesnt have any. So when she said "most of influencers" she meant "most influencers". When you want to concretize or specify in russian something you add "this " or "that" to a noun.

Long time ago I was taught something about using the article “the”: you can not say “the English”, as Kevin mentioned in the video, it should be just “English”, but you can say “the English language”. “Spanish”, but “the Spanish language”, “Chinese”, but “the Chinese language” etc. I wonder if I am correct? This difference was not explained in the video.
