I think I would add - as cute as the trash pathing and fencing is, DON'T waste your trash on making them. Once you've cleared the ocean, it is so hard to get trash in any quantity, and you need so much scrap and so much compost (if you want to make fertilizer) that I wish I hadn't lost so much early on. I wish we could break the path and fencing back down into trash again. However - ABSOLUTELY make the trash chest very first thing, as storage is so important. You CANNOT drop an item on the ground and pick it up later if your inventory is full, so having a place you can stash your good stuff is important. You can store things in your selling box, just remember to remove them again before bed. I've also stopped making fertilizer for plants that are one time crop yields. I only use it for repeating crops because it just takes too much trash to make it over and over again.

The caves actually spawn an infinite amount of trash, so it’s not that difficult to get more but I definitely agree that people should hold off on them Edit: I’m a dummy who didn’t realize this was a year ago. My point still stands but yes

@@kittyowlblu don't worry! that was old information. Now they've added 4 different caves in the ocean that open after you clean a portion of it. The are endless rooms of trash, coffers, and fossils. Make all the trash items you want! Happy playing!

re: the trash cans, some fish so far have *only* been found in trash cans like the "black phantom ghost fish" so definitely worth bumping them for that reason too

I haven’t accidentally killed a crop with a tool but I have definitely wasted stamina by using my tools on the ground by mistake 😂 Happens a lot when I’m in a hurry with mining a big group of rocks together. Eventually my mouse will miss and I’ll just pickaxe the ground lol

I've done a pacifist run right down to the current bottom of the mines without my sword, so it's definitely doable. Did not know that there was a no-combat mode in development. That's nice to hear.

Another one is: "Do NOT wait on finishing those temple bundles!" Everytime you finish a seasonal bundle you get access to more seeds. The further in the month you wait the less likely you'll be able to plant those new seeds. I say this out of experience of doing this myself :(

re: Seeds - The Wild Seeds can also give you crops that you cant access yet via the town rank system. It's very much worth it to plant those

3:26 In the top left corner of the mines there is a "crack" In the dirt, if you strike it with your pickaxe it will move keep striking it and it will lead you to a bonus ore spot!!! It took me wayyyyyy to long to realize that! But it's really helpful and a neat little feature :3

For tip 3 the random crops include ones you cannot buy right away, it's just a very rare chance.

you actually want to upgrade your watering can the day BEFORE a rainy day, that way you can water, upgrade, have it rain the next day, then pick it up the next day after, assuming that next day is not a Friday. Make sure not to do this on a Friday as you won't be able to pick it up on Sunday.

So your story progress will likely reset when there is a major update that fundamentally changes the game (there will be about 10 major content updates), however it’s been confirmed that for every update the plan is for us to keep our gold, everything in our storage, and our farm layout!!

I did the worse version of tip 4 which was accidentally destroy the chest that had most of my tools in it. reloading/restarting didn't bring em back for some reason and couldn't find anywhere to repurchase so I had to start a new save 💀 thankfully i was only like on day 4 or 5 of spring

You are lucky they spit our fishes, torn pages, and hibiscus - worth a lot more than the trash. However, I totally understand when you need something and can't obtain it. I noticed Miss Sunstone tends to get trash from her Geode she takes to Pablo. I am always offended when I see that, but realize Trash may be just what you need. Good Luck!

I do love the tree seed candy for on the go! But yes take advantage of the hot springs when you can! You can also chop trees outside of your property in the forest to get more seeds to re-plant on your farm!

Oh god damn it! I was hitting those clovers with every tool, because I was like "this is sure here for a reason"... Except with the hoe... sometimes I just forget it exist, it's my least used tool and it mostly sits in one of my chests.

When I started to play the game, i sold ALL the trash 'cause I didn't know what to do with it. Then I discovered I would need it for make compost 😨 Disaster!! Might I add another thing not to do. Do not upgrade your Water Can to Silver or Gold if the next day is not raining or not the final day of the month. Every day plants go without water is a noticable delay on crop growth, it is not worth upgrading them and not being able to water crops. Crops don't need to be watered on the last day of the month since most die after day anyways if they aren't finished growing, there is no need to worry about watering that day. It is also un-needed to water on rainy days. Hope this helps with judging when to upgrade your Watering Can to Silver and Gold.
