Kevin, you are one of a kind! A truly amazing teacher, I learn a lot from you🤩. I like when you make videos for your viewers to learn about the mistakes some teachers make. However in this video you indicated some unreal mistakes. For example, the stress in "locate" can be on both syllables (the Merriam-Webster dictionary confirms that), CBD can be used for Central Business District (Wikipedia confirms that too). 😎I guess it's a personal preference.

Hello Hello Kevin and Liza, as you know, I love watching your videos, you’re awesome! I do admire the work you do. Keep up the good work guys ! I came across this KZbin channel, its name is English by Giovana. She is teaching wrong information. She’s doing the same thing linguaMarina does. I simply don’t understand why they don’t care about the quality of their content. And they don’t even accept that what they are doing is wrong. Anyway, you are amazing and I love the content of your channel.

There's nothing wrong with understanding the meaning of 'No go area', even if it's a British phrase. It’s like confusing the English learners, because there are no rules regarding which language to pick, British or American. English is English. You are doing a great job, but sometimes you talk about minor mistakes which are not accounted for non native speakers/learners.
@mariashevyrova3730

The problem is that he says he's teaching American English, so if you want to speak American English you should be teaching the American dialect of English. Its illogical to say you're teaching Spanish from Mexico but you are using expressions from Spain, doesn't make sense and shouldnt be done

To be honest, these are so minor mistakes and they are inevitable for non-native speakers and even teachers just due to the design of a human brain. Is they critical for learner? No. Can a person progress using this lesson? I am sure yes. Should every piano teacher be a virtuoso? Of course, not. Because, this mistakes (or rather little happy accidents) will disappear in natural way sooner or later at a certain level of studying.

If I start a channel and claim that I’m a certified English teacher that means I have passed that certain level of studying you’re referring to! You can not compare piano with a language ! These people are teaching incorrect English !

@@-.__Hazel__.-nevertheless, I insist that mistakes in this video are so tiny that it would be possible to get mark 8 in IELTS speaking even if a exam taker did them (even official band criteria allow them). For example, this pronunciation of “preposition” - come on, is it critical mistake? 99% of native speakers even would not recognize it. And, I would like to emphasize, I do not support teaching of incorrect English, but I also do not understand a meaning of these attempts to find so subtle nuances. I just try to convey that TOO meticulous approach of a teacher can be even more harmful for motivation of learners.

@@user-tf4eg7gz1t I understand where you are coming from but when I watch a English video I actively pay attention to pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary altogether! I pause the video, repeat the word , jot down the correct prepositions, so for active learners these are not minor mistakes !

I don't believe anyone should be so strict to mispronounciation. It's relative. Sometimes it is no big deal. I said sometimes! Of course, there are some of them that should be pointed out ...as they do on the videos but others could be left out. I've seen many native speakers mispronuncing words and even so nobody cares. The world egg or Vegas (Las Vegas) can be pronunced at least in 3 different ways. So, I am not being judgmental but I just think some non native teachers should be a little more careful ..other than that, it is all good. The botton line of this is to get through what you wanna say and be happy. 😊
