Offering courses is not a scam as many Russians think. It's a legitimate business. Thus Marina is not a scammer, instead, she is an unprofessional teacher and should be marked as such.

@@leodupont2418 nah, she was doing some scam scheme with other similar guys, something related with finances, and she was claimed to be a scammer not just for what I just said but for something else, don't remember exactly cuz I watched those videos quite a long time ago. About courses. if she is not a pro, then what is the point for making any courses, which are quite expensive for a person who lives in russia etc. it is similar to if you want to buy a cake that has no peanut butter cuz u are allergic to it, and ill telll you Hey Leo, buy this cake that I just baked, it has no peanut butter in it and u will be safe, u trust me and u buy it, and after u ate it u end up in a hospital. same think here. u won't need a service of a plumber who is not a pro. but if he claims that he is a pro, and then u hire him to do the job at ur house, and 1 week later when inspection from your insurance company pays u a visit cuz u called your insurance company because ur water pipe got a leak they ask u, what an idiot have done this job, all this is against the regulation, and looks like it has been done by someone who had no idea what he was doing. but u paid that guy a huge amount of $. isn't it a fraud? same here with here. she isn't a pro, then why she teaches anyone?? im glad that the guy in this video tells about mistakes she is doing.

@@oksanawebster8729 could both be true? He threw her under the bus by correcting her mistakes?

@@englishwithmrd That's interesting. According to Merriam-Webster, "To throw someone under the bus is to criticize, blame, or punish them, especially in order to avoid blame or gain an advantage." Clearly, Kevin can't be blamed for Marina's mistakes, as he's been trying to correct her English for ages. Nor is he trying to gain an advantage over her in terms of his command of English. Perhaps a better expression would be, "She might have gotten away with it, but Kevin caught her in the act" ?

Еще вопрос 😢 Скажите пожалуйста: В фразе: « play it by ear” Почему перед ear нет артикля?
@TheWordsmithsForge2 ай бұрын
А вот другой пример: "She grabbed him by the ear".

Вопрос: скажите пожалуйста: В фразе: «And we’ll see what happens» (Почему s на конце happens? 😮😮😮😅😅😅
@TheWordsmithsForge2 ай бұрын
Его друг Джим говорит ему: "Invite Jane on a date at the party today. And we'll see what happens".
