Overall good video but I would present some alternative views: You paint Lakeway in a negative light with many of your comments. This is highly dependent on where you are comparing Lakeway to. Of course it is different from Austin, but the neighborhood is similar to other suburban areas. Grocery stores in Lakeway aren't appreciably more than Austin. Inflation is up everywhere. With HEB and Randalls, affordability is fine. Do ice storms affect Lakeway more than Austin? Nope. Water restrictions also affect most areas of central Texas. A lot of Lakeway has underground power lines which help with trees falling. Bugs are bad in Lakeway? People coming from California should expect bugs in Texas. If you have ever lived in Austin apartments, you know there are roaches and other bugs. If you move to any suburban location in Central Texas you will have similar pests and wildlife. Why no mention of the excellent schools? Why no mention of the low crime? This is a very safe place to live. No mention of the greenbelt, Canyonlands, or the pool and Tennis center?

Thank you for watching! I've actually lived in the heart of Lakeway for 12+ years and absolutely love the area. When I eventually move, it will likely be to a different house in Lakeway 😁 When you have some time, take a look through the Lake Travis playlist that includes many videos highlighting the positive points you've mentioned. This particular video is less of a comparison to other areas of Austin and more of a focus on some of the cons people should also consider when exploring Lakeway.

When we moved to the Austin area in 1990, Lakeway was primarily a retirement community.
