Here's why: In English morphology and phonology, a CLITIC is a word or part of a word that is structurally dependent on a neighboring word (its host) and cannot stand on its own. A clitic is said to be "phonologically bound," which means that it's pronounced, with very little emphasis, as if it were affixed to an adjacent word. and a video: there’dn’t’ve (Tom Scott) kzbin.info/www/bejne/eZy9qo18lpqkhZI I hope this helps. I didn't know any of this either; I just knew it was incorrect. @@rezahasheminasab

This morning I saw your video about scaffolds. Very interesting. I have a question about scaffolding, but not the one on your video. Why are there so many scaffolds in New York City, even when we can't see any renovation being done? Could they use them for protecting pedestrians on the side walk from rain or snow?

I wonder where she's from, she pronounces "something" exactly like Spanish speakers "Song thing" We have a hard time saying the M sound at the end of words or syllables, since that never happens in Spanish. A good trick that even native speakers use, is to put a P in the middle, "Somp thing" (don't release the P)
@dannyjorde2677
@dannyjorde2677 11 ай бұрын
That's not true. Spanish speakers would say "somzin". Spanish speakers have no problem pronouncing the letter M in the middle of a word, because that happens in many Spanish words. What's difficult for us is to pronounce the NG at the end of the word, because there are no words in Spanish with that ending.

She’s Russian indeed. I watched a random video on her channel and it was written in the description. I’m surprised she has 2 million subscribers cause her accent is so strong. Maybe her videos are quite entertaining.

She looks uncomfortable speaking English. She said in one of her videos that you have to move your mouth a lot when you speak English and that is not the case with Russian.

From my point of view it is disrespectful to make those mistakes when you are teaching English or pretend to be an ESL instructor! We have to be careful who we follow on KZbin.

Hello, I think you should stop finding fault with her pronunciation. She doesn't mean to teach the American accent. She teaches idioms... Back to the drawing board, grain of salt... Quite advanced idioms, in my opinion
