It's so nice that you teach so calmly 👍... many dog training videos have some sort of loudness or urgency or stress or something to it. I'm glad I stumbled over your chamnel🎉

Thanks! I genuinely try to keep training as stress free as possible, so I want my videos to reflect that 🙂

I’m SO bad about #4 🤦♀️😂 Honestly making these tutorials is making me a better trainer because I’m constantly watching my training mechanics on video haha.
It's linked in the video and the video description, but extra links are always handy! 🙂

Clicking on the in video link didn't work for me. Going back and pausing, writing the details down then searching was a working option as the link also wasn't in the description. I appreciate your clips. Might be worth getting a few friends to see if the link in clip isn't fuctioning for more and if it is an channel faulty with links in clips problem. I shared it to be helpful if other viewers are having similar issues. Please feel free to delete.

I also have people start off on the foot closest to the dog when they want the dog to go with them - extra cue to the dog, they're going with you. Versus the stay or wait when you use the foot furthest from the dog after giving them the wait or stay cue. Especially if you might want to compete. Using their name for moving exercises, dog's name, with me (my heel word, especially used when crossing streets after sitting at the curb and waiting for no cars. As soon as we get to the next curb, release word for loose leash walking - leash trumps everything - ie as long as not pulling.) Rather than dog's name and then a stationary cue. They get excited to hear their name or should and then it's kind of a let down when they then have to stay put. Just something i encourage. Hope that helps.

Yes, I do treat reaching across myself. I am working on remembering not to do that. Thank you for all your dog training lessons, I am learning so much. Reese is learning leave it so we can start loose leash training. She's doing so great!! Thank You!!!

I went to my first obedience class with a 5month old puppy where they told us to treat with the left hand. My problem seems to be that because my dog is still pulling on the lead, getting my hand up to the treat bag and back down to the dog seems an impossible task. Perhaps in time this will not be an issue but right now it seems like I’ll never be able to reward her without yanking on her, losing grip of her lead or having the lead get all tangled in dog nose.

I'd be careful about reaching for and/or giving treats while your dog is doing an undesirable behaviour like pulling anyhow! If you haven't already, I'd encourage you to check out this video on leash training: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ape4h4ukqbyDha8. I think it'll really help! You'll notice in it I often suggest starting leash training indoors without a leash :)
