Mind blowing information about the direction of pleating on pants! I've completely steered away from pleating because it does accentuate my stomach. But, now that I know pleats can go either facing in or out I will search and try the outward facing pleats to see if it makes a difference for me. Thanks Chi!

Brilliant tip on pleats facing outwards! I am not petite at 5’6” but I am an hourglass and have to be careful about dressing the curves and elongating the legs. Good points. Having a short torso plus even a small tummy is a challenge. Throw in occasional bloating and it’s terrible! I’m always conscious of what I can wear and not. There are some cute styles out there that are just not for me

They really do balance my body much better than skinny jeans skinny jeans my calves are so developed that they're actually not all that comfortable . Side pockets in bison pockets Help to give me a little bit more balance on the bottom half as I'm kind of a combo Rectangle inverted triangle yet like you say I always gain weight right smack in the middle 1st thing and it's the last to go and I like you I'm slender.

Thank you! Im an apple body shape too, usually skinny but always struggled with that pouting belly! Recently I’ve gained a lot because of health issues but apple belley grows alongside the rest of course 😅🙈 One problem I have with finding pants that fit is I have quite a slim waist. I hadnt understood that because my bellys big. So I’ve always worn pants too big, so they would fit around my belly. Just realising I should perhaps try to find high rise pants from a curvy collection? Then I should get pants that fit nicely on my waist (and dont slide down in the back when I sit or bend fowards) but also accomodates room for my belly and hips! Right?

I used to be pear shaped with saddle bag thighs when I was younger, a, nd I always had a defined waist. Then i, n my forties the saddle bags disappeared and so did my waist! I hope you get your BMI checked according to the Asian calculation, a lot of Asian women in particular get an inaccurate BMI score because the equation used is for taller, Whiter women (who have more muscle). More Asian women are skinny fat (visceral fat on the tummy) and it causes health problems if not caught early.
