Bro literally half of my production process (mixing and mastering excluded) is overthinking Melodies and I hate it.

Use 3-4 sounds, add drums mix it and you’re done brother, don’t over think it. Plus maybe listen to some instrumentals you like of songs you know to help with not over complicating stuff

Bro I do want to learn Chop squad Dj, pattern of making melody, most type of melody used in OMB PEEZY beats
@oddwolfMARC2 жыл бұрын
Quick question I’m just now starting off but one thing I want to learn I guess is terminology. I hear words like stem, loops, etc. but don’t really have a clue what they mean. I just want to be able to know the jargon once I do get around to working with others.

Just start beatmaking you’ll for sure learn. I didn’t even think about that and learned it easily

First mistake everyone is making is applying theory. I say just make music even is it’s noise. Cuz the more we apply these rules to the art form. The more the art form becomes canned. Just like hiphop dance has become canned. It’s something anyone can do and everything looks and sounds the same.

dude music theory is just guidelines lol you can make whatever melody make you want

Knowing theory is knowing your boundaries. It helps... Band heads understand....

@@rysupreme589 just make art in the projects did they know what they were doing. No they just did it. So I say turn knobs and just have fun. I have been trained to use any kind of sequencer hardware or software. My music may only be dope to me but when I’m locked in having fun I have made dope tracks and thrown them away. Than most people can imagine. Also every producer I have spent time with makes bangers. From San Jose cali to Reno nv to Portland Oregon. I worked with some dope cats. I choose to listen to them any day over any top artists in this canned industry
