It’s best to live and work on the same side of a river this avoids bridge bottlenecks especially when they decide to work on them.same with tunnels, avoid having to commute though the tunnels at all cost.I used to live in Etna and worked at the airport.Pittsburgh drivers are so much nicer than the west coast

I moved here from Southern CA. Driving here is a pleasure compared with San Diego and L.A.

I’m personally thinking of moving back to Pittsburgh in my 40s. I’m currently 40 years old and was born and brought up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I lived in Raleigh Durham for 24 years now since age 16

Like many cities in the USA, Pittsburgh is not public transportation friendly. You really need a car. Even the residential areas of the city seem like suburbs, with mostly houses with yards and then one story commercial buildings. If you like high-density cities like New York or Europe it is very, very difficult to adjust here . But I think most US cities are like this, so maybe most people wont notice. I moved here from Europe and i hate the car culture. I just want to walk for hours in a safe urban environment, but there are only pockets of walkable neighbourhoods and a lot of sprawl.

Hello, just wondering if you and your company does rentals as well as home sales. I've been to pittsburgh a couple times and to a few neighborhoods, but I'd think I'd like to spend more time checking out different neighborhoods personally before i get locked into something long term.

My partner and I are moving from Seattle to Pittsburgh for tertiary education and to work at a hospital. Even though our city is bigger, Pittsburgh seems more confusing. We are trying to buy for $400k or less and Zillow hasn’t been that helpful.
