think you are a little bit off on the fake super topic , would agree if you just pop off the button without drilling out and tapping the post its a scam , 10 - 25 for a wheel swapped that's carefully drilled out and tapped is reasonable. not a fan of using super label but think its more or less for the keyword nothing more.

@@DieCashCars yep , but lets do some math, i rarely ever sell just wheel swaps,, but i do sell custom painted cars and very honest. $1.25-$2 for mainline , dollar cars isnt a thing anymore unless there's a sell , .50 cents for screws, lets say 5 dollars set of the rlc wheels, another 10 for the tap and drill bits , and lets say other 5 for acetone and other supplies , so whats a fair asking price for car with cost bases of about $8? can't forget about the 15% ebay fees.

Customs and wheels swaps can sometimes come out nicer than real supers. As long as the seller discloses that it's a custom and not real super treasure hunt, there's nothing wrong with what they're selling. Same goes for real cars, is a modified Supra not a real Supra? No, depending on the mods sometimes it's worth more than a stock one, if it's done correctly and tastefully. If it's a hack-job and riced out, you should probably steer clear or get one heck of a discount! 😂

I do customs. But when I sell them. I always say. This is NOT an original. It is a custom. And write out the detail. Great video!

That Fleet Street Diorama "error" is probably just a set that someone else stole the car out of and returned it to Walmart. The person with the eBay account is probably just a Hotwheels Noob, who saw it on the shelf and thought it was an error. The reason why his listing says "Sponsored", is because that means he is paying eBay to promote that listing so it will be seen by more people.

I found a yellow Lambo Huracan that was facing the wrong way and it was upside down. There was no way for me to have flipped it due to the shape of the blister. It just came outta the factory like that. I posted the pic on a online fan forum cause I thought followers would get a kick out of it. I wasn't even trying to sell it !!! But of course, I was basically accused of faking an error. I ended up opening it an making it a from scratch custom build.

I sell wheelswaps all the time. Some people just dont have the skill or patience to tap/drill/swap and would gladly pay the $15 for someone else to do it for them. Nothing wrong with that.

I don't search for errors....however I do "collect" them when I find them IN STORE. Found and Alpine without headlight tampos, went to a K day event, and found a completely empty, sealed blister from a Mercury Cougar, (yellow, with race deco) recently found another Cougar (in blue with race deco #8) that the machine stamping the rivet destroyed the base. I have a few others I can't think of at the moment....lol but I know fora fact all mine are factory errors because I found them in store.

that is one of eBays saved feedbacks that sellers can use. I've used it on my sold listing when i am leaving feed back in a hurry or using the new feedback system, if you look at the people leaving feedback are established sellers, but i agree with you on the other red flags on the listing

When buying new/newer cars ie:90s and up), i only do it in person. Dealing with ebay just isnt worth it for me. I always go to ebay for redlines though. Ive been got on a few redline deals over the last few months. Recently bought a beautiful shiny beatnik bandit and it ended up having a reproduction engine that wasnt disclosed. Seller fought me through every step of the refund. Have also recieved poorly packaged cars (seriously, tape the shit out of your bubble wrap people!), causing them to arrive damaged. The worst is when a packaged redline comes packed in a bubble mailer. Not kidding, that actually happened once. Be careful who you buy from, especially with redlines!

I actually have a diorama error. I opened the team transport box given to me by the walmart employee. Really cool Black Hole gasser set. Bought them both together as a reference. Missing tampos, different cars and 55 gasser is pointing backwards.

Don’t think most of the “Super Custom” vendors are necessarily trying to run a scam. I’ve talked to a few in person at toy shows and I think some of them are avid customizers or some are trying to support their customizing habit. Others may make a wheel swap and then see a swap they like even better and sell their old customization project. I was asking one of the guys who sells them at shows/on eBay how he does it and it sounds like if you do it properly it can take about 30+ minutes if you use acetone to preserve card, use crimping/special fitted axles, do filing/sanding for proper fit, glue pan-head/other rivet like screws on for the look, then reseal pack for display. While I’d be less likely to buy one of these super customs for myself, think there’s people who appreciate the right car-wheel combination. Know you talk about value on the channel, don’t think these custom super cars would hold their $16-20ish value which they sell for long term however. Most cars on eBay which seem to be custom supers are newer case releases, when that vehicle is a couple to a few years old people could be less likely to want (or even do a keyword search for) a mainline with a wheel swap.

Your wheel swap comment is dumb, because the way you did it isnt worth much. The back wheels extend too far out. If you customize them to make them shorter and put time in to do this, maybe its worth more.
