Awesome ESK8 Parts: geni.us/3jMs5
Today we review mistakes that all Esk8 builders should do their best to try to avoid. Doing enough research, carefully purchasing parts, practicing standard build methods, and working in a clean and safe space will help you out tremendously. Nobody likes to have to ship back incorrect parts half way through their DIY Electric Skateboard build.
... Please keep your ESC off of carpet. Thank you so much.

Waterproofing! I've twice fried esc's from small puddles that let ingress just enough water to cost me. Now I use a liberal amount of GE plastic sealant to all seams, stays flexible and seals it up tight! Haven't had an issue since and can now ride through heavy rain without worry. Next upgrade is ceramic bearings to really make my board waterproof ⛈

Hi, After installing new Boardnamics BN M1-AT Gear Drive on my Lacroix electric skateboard 12s4p p42a 21700 molicel and replacing motors from 6389's to 63100's the board would not charge. Charger showed green as if fully charged but was no charge left. After downloading the xiaoxiangBMS app it started to charge properly again! But now It will not charge again. The battery shows fully charged in xiao & stormcore app and shows green light on charger again but it is not fully charged. I'm seeing: - a MOSFET software locked alarm and also: - A cell over voltage protection alarm

I've not made this mistake myself but a good one to avoid is Miss judging your wheel size my board comes with 73 Mill Wheels I'm about to upgrade but the setup I want has 120 Mill Wheels on the rear think about the size difference that represents it would jack up my rear and lower my front end so I'm going to need to purchase new front wheels as well just to keep things on a level in addition to that the rear come with a lift plate which I will also need to purchase for the front again to keep my wheels the same height

@MarkusBenjaminAnders
@MarkusBenjaminAnders 3 жыл бұрын
If you only have two wires from your motor it's probably not brushless, meaning you don't need an esc (if that's what you meant by controller). A brushless motor needs an esc for timing the current of the phases, a brushed motor (like the one you likely have) only needs a voltage controller like a variable resistor or pwm controller. Hope this helps. PS, make sure to get components that are compatible (electric-wise) so you don't burn out your circuits or cause damage to the battery. Stay safe

Build your own - don't have a subreddit with thousands of members to help you find issues, don't have customer support for parts, hard to find same parts after 2-3 years. Evolve/Boosted all the way! (Even though Boosted is out of business) Edit: I build my own PC's but won't build my own board (even though I can)

You cost so many customers money buy telling them to put on loctite. Better to use nail polish; that way when you need to change something you can take the pulley off.

We always recommend Blue Removable loctite. This wouldn’t cost anyone extra money.

Ladies and gentlement dont use this guy for parts advice all he does is promote his own business. Aliexpress and banggood are sooo much cheaper and thats probable where he gets his stuff from

Welp, this is our business’s KZbin channel 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I would never give out info that didn’t ultimately help our customers get their builds done ✅ Also can’t express enough how inconsistent AliExpress seems to be. Haven’t and won’t use them to stock parts in our store. We only use trusted sources when it comes to stocking ever single product we offer.

Have never had any problems myself with them. After all it'll all comes from same factory. I appreciate its ur business channel but titling your videos with DIY is quite misleading cos its not really DIY

@@Sam-bn9ix Dude, he lead with "torqueboards build", "my builds", etc. You want one off videos with less experience (most times), less exposure, and potential uncertainty in unfamiliarity of PARTS being used...or am I wrong? lol "MBoards" emphasizes SAFETY over all else, promotion included, even at 6:18 there's no discrimination or favoritism for own brand (as a general example). So chill tf out bruthuh and go build something!

DIY to me doesn't consist of bolting a few parts and plugging them in. That's not DIY in any sense. Making the devices from the constituent parts is DIY. This guy effectively sells an expensive kit to transform a board into an electric one! All I said is don't use him for parts get your own from aliexpress for cheaper. Be honest to the viewer explaining how there are other options available. Simple!
