Seem like they are eating you up on entry. Not sure if it's just toe-in/out or if there is anything you can change on the tie rods to change geometry? It looks like your car is tight so you are wheeling more and hen you have to crank the wheel hard it does that half skid/push thing. The blue car floats into the corners perfectly. Work to be done sir!

would it have been soooo difficult to build in some (minor) elevation changes ??

I've never seen that in any onroad RC racing. It's always full flat tracks for onroad. OffRoad carpet tracks gets jumps and elevation changes. Cars need clearance to do it. These onroad tracks also race 1/12 scale pancar which only have like 2mm clearance.
