Would you guys want to see us make a buying guide video specifically on vintage watches? 🙇♂️
@michaelwatches765 күн бұрын
I think it would be helpful to see, also for the watchmaker to explain the process they go through as well. Have you bought something just to have your watchmaker tell you that parts have been swapped out?
@Mike-p5s5 күн бұрын
Yeah, will be very useful!

Yes absolutely. We call it ‘buying mistakes’ in the business. You can only learn if you lose money 😅

The Piaget Polo Dual Time 🌊 watch is absolutely stunning! ✨ Plus, with gold prices 📈 hitting an all-time high again last week, this piece is even more valuable! 💰Curious...why do so many people love to collect vintage watches ⏳? Is it the craftsmanship, the history, or something else?

Good job Fred! Really looking forward seeing a vintage sub buying guide how to tell redial vintage sub and also refinish cases like laser welding case for vintage piece by using 904l. Cheers

Great idea! Many people see sharp cases and they think unpolished. The truth is that some of the best ‘unpolished’ cases are recut/reprofiled cases out of US and Japan. Very tricky unless you know what to look for

My fav new watch youtuber. You guys are killing ittt🙌🏻 If your watchmaker told you the watch you bought has a fake movement, would you contact the seller you bought it from or how does that work?
@classictimeclub5 күн бұрын
Great question. If we bought it from an established dealer, we’d demand a refund. If we get burned buying from an individual, there’s usually no recourse. The goal however is always to limit the risk as much as possible. If there’s one red flag on the watch, we pass. If we have one dishonest experience with a dealer, we cut the relationship. At the end of the day, nothing substitutes knowledge and proper due diligence 💪

Yes, please, more in-depth contents. You are a great knowledgeable guy to teach us the How-To, especially for us hobby novice who loves watches. No one likes to get burn ... Thanks !! BTW, how do you get to know all different watches years, types, and names? so impressive.

This business started from pure passion for me. Lots of sleepless nights reading Timezone, Watchuseek, Rolexforums etc before social media was a thing. Old books and auction catalogues are also a goldmine for information!

Thanks again for the insightful video! Would you ever consider making a video on how one would take their first steps into the industry? Including what we can expect in terms of margins for particular brands and the average time it takes to make a ‘flip’?

Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on AMZWATCH 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

Anyone who is thinking of going to Hong Kong for a vintage watch don’t - unless you can speak fluent Cantonese, really and I mean really know your watches because you will get scammed. All the stone dials flooding the market come from Hong Kong and a dealer friend who is just starting out thought he bagged a presidential red coral in white gold for a bargain - that’s a £120k or more and when he took it to big time dealer in Europe in under a minute he told him it was a Frankenstein watch. My friend lost £70k - now he doing Uber and working in Tesco - that one deal wiped him out. Please don’t watch this kind of rubbish and think you can go and buy from these dealers and not get scammed - you will unless you are the above!
