The problem with ADF is "Their running towards simplicity lead them to complexity. When they say: "look there is no Java code", that statement will be ok, if yo working with excel, with people that they have no programming skills. But here in ADF only experienced programmers are dealing with it, so the mixing between many technologies to deal with UIs leads to messing, while if you keep all Java it will be more understandable and easier to learn. My advice is to restructure ADF, and omitting the concept of "No Java Code" since only experienced programmers will deal with it. Best Regards

I didnot understand at 19:19. Why will the view show stale data if the values are set to null in actionlistener. The values will be reset right?

Nice video. But one gets a feeling that with ADF the use of Oracle's IDE esp JDev is the key(somehow sometimes little frustrating to work with it as well;)) and certain areas if not all are still tricky esp for understanding with mix of declarative style,java code etc.
