I have been doing some comparing to find the most lucrative (profit/production) mine to place. The one that consistently make the most $$ over time is Zinc. (3.4-3.6) The one that always has low inventory is the fully up graded Gold & Platinum. Now I always place a mine in a +20% to +30% price, and set the sell at 0%. I know I could make more by raising the Sell, but I want everyone to come to my mine and keep my inventory moving. So if you find a claim, and Zinc is over 20% in that system, you got a $$ maker.

its seems the more expensive minds make the best money, i just have had bad rng for zinc and ore.

Good vid man! One thing I like to do is set my one or two of my destroyer ships to "Patrol Sector" this will make them fire at any Xsotan and Pirates. Then I use a salvager ship drone set to loop into the sector and salvage, then warp out to refine. You can then go AFK in a drone near a station (I like to nest inside the shield so I dont die) and get free Rep, Credits, and Materials from all the ships you blow up. Love your vids btw!

Hey Shrike, thanks for making the progression more clear. I have done the mines and simple factories but I started some trading depots and my wallet is dropping like crazy!! (turns out you do pay for NPCs selling to them) I am in the center ring and now broke with a ton of pirated good that I don't want to run around and sell. How do you do your economy at mid game? I hope not running around in a freighter finding places to sell a bunch of random crap....

Set up factories and mines to sell to NPC traders. You can get rid of pirated loot at smuggler without having to shop around, but the profits are smaller. Your economy took a hit stocking your trading station, but it will work it out as it sells to traders. I don’t know, but I imagine traders will buy up your inventory as long as it isn’t upgraded to the max. I maximally upgraded my first factory (water) which was a mistake, as NPC traders could not clear out the inventory fast enough.

Can you show a specific example of what we need to look for, on what screen, etc, to decide where to set up a mine and what kind to set up? I got a general idea of a process to use ("look for a place where demand is high") but being new to the game, knowing how/where to find this information is the rest of the owl. ;)

Absolutely love your content . It was the reason I bought the game. I have put in about a hundred hrs so far and am working on setting up my factories now. Every question I have you seem to read my mind and make a video on it! Gr8 job on knowing your audience. I had 1 question, I left my home system and traveled a bit towards the center, once I got back home all the stations in my home sector were gone. Any reason why that would happen?

I have no idea, possible a loading problem. Did you restart?

I have had the same thing just restart in restart steam that should fix it if that doesn't work report it so the game developer can fix it

Nope, hasn't worked.. I had just taken it that some rival factions invaded my home. (Turned it into an rpg element for myself) now I'm at war with most of the galaxy on a revenge run 😂

BTW IDK if this is a good straight but I don't start to pirate till I get about 1 to 2 mill shield and 400k Hull so it's ez because 💰 isn't real big problem untill you get to xanion well for me anyway is this wired IDK
