FYI: Swoks will spawn in any empty sector in the right zone, no matter who 'owns' it, civilized, border, or no man's land. 'Empty' here means a sector that doesn't have any permanent ai faction presence--so he can spawn in a sector the player has a mine in, for example. The AI also follows these rules.

strange I have never had to him spawn in claimed space, maybe just bad RNG.

bro i have ocd and not very good at building the ships do you have any on workshop or recommend any at xanion stage? ive downloaded a few but there either way too big and slow or way too weak

You can update a design in the build menu. Select modify all and you can update the whole ship at once. I mostly just update my trinium ships. The best advice I can give is make sure you upgrade your shields to xanion and check your subsystems for improvements. If you ship is slow and clunky trinium hull and parts will reduce weight.
