Thanks a lot. I have my camera mounted right under my visor and it would fall down on some of the jumps, so I used the wood to fix it

Nice! When I saw that line from the climbing trail, I knew I would not be riding it. All that stuff is much bigger and steeper than the GoPro makes it look!

It really is. I had the same exact feeling climbing up the first time, but throughout the day improved so much. I also realized that the trail gap was the easiest feature there bc it was so smooth. Just really hard to commit to.

Not sure what type of bike but if you try to ride these types of trails with an XC frame bike, you are probably not a pro, because you don't know better. LOL

You are not an average man biker. You would need a downhill bike and above average skills to maintain enough speed. Great ride though, I couldn’t do it with out crashing a dozen times.

@@thebackyardsender Dude, our wheels folded in halv if ju as much as thought of landing a half degree off angle, haha, handlebars snapping in half, no clutched rear derailleurs - it was a nightmare, in many ways... But man, we still had a lot of fun. 😁

Can you define AVRAGE mountain bike rider? I ask because the type of trail makes a difference. This is a downhill/freeride/slopestyle type of pro trail. It is not a cross country trail. This is not a type of trail you want to try to ride with a cross country mountain bike with its type of geometry. XC bikes are lighter than downhill bikes because downhill bikes have stronger frames designed to handle the drops and gaps. This is a trail that should be ridden with an all-mountain, slopestyle or downhill bike, with a whole lot of suspension travel and durable frame.

I rode the trail on my older Giant Enduro bike. It is true that I never go near ANYTHING like this on my XC bike. On the subject of what defines an Average mountain biker, I always identify as average but I did improve a ton this year. I believe the loam ranger or someone used the same title in a video, so I found it acceptable.

Hello, the King Kong trail is not a proline; it’s a double black freeride trail. The proline section is only the drop over the climbing trail.

As they mentioned, the trail is double black until the trail gap and then the bottom part is also double black. The title was a slight exaggeration implying that the entire run was proline

What concerns me more is the type of bike. This clip could be misleading to those that are just starting out, and happen to purchase a cross country bike, not a downhill bike that is specifically engineered for these types of trails.
