@ricoemilio She is singing. All of the artists that performed had a backing track playing while they sang. They always do. It's really appearant when Jason Derulo performed "Im My Head" right after her, for no one can sound just like the cd while doing those dance moves.

@rbschreiber I agree with everything you said about the song, and it's good. but avril isn't lip synching. she has said on many occasions that she would NEVER, ever lip synch. she thinks people that lip synch are pathetic. and if you watch closely, you can totally see that it's live, and you can hear that it's live. just because she sounds perfect, it doesn't mean she's lip synching. she can just sing like that.

Not lip syncing. Some notes are a different pitch Some notes are longer or shorter. And the part where she says "Ohh whoaaa What the hell" Sounds better than when she recorded it for her CD. She sounds better live!

you guys need to realise, when singers lip sync, they usually have their mics turned on (but low in the mix) so they can add their own inflections into the song occasionally, but for the most part they just hold back and aren't singing. Avril can actually sing, so it's unfortunate that in this vid, she isn't.

This is a perfectly appropriate song for the event - it's catchy, slightly punky, fun. By an artist that the key demographic of audience members and advertising-desired viewers will enjoy and know well, AND it's a premiere of a song. Makes perfect sense. With that said, I do definitely think she's lip synching. Most artists do in these types of performances. On the runs (i.e. Wha-a-a-a-a-a-a-what the hell) it's unlikely she'd be so pitch perfect live while bopping and dancing around.

she isnt lip synching but her voice is edited slightly the mic does it for her to get some of the tones, she can sing live but she would have need some help. She had strap throat not long ago
