Good morning. I was told the same thing. When the doctor told I said to him it’s ok and Inlet it go. I went on a loss weight journey and lost some weight and I still say it’s ok if it’s gods will I will have a child. I have high blood pressure and weight gain so I do understand it’s hard. Without thinking about have a child anymore, I decided to live other persons children. Out of the blue I was not feeling well so I decided to go to the doctor and they said You are Pregnant!! You are so right! Lots of people here in the Caribbean suffers from PCOS. Just today my niece just found out she has it. She’s presently being treated for it. I've been watching you guys for years and this is 1 of few comments. Sorry to hear Avri, I had the same problem when I was 16 yrs old and a female gynecologist told my mom.I wouldn't be able to have kids and she could give me permission to have a child at 16. My mom. Said no way and took me to Dr. Michael Beecher in Linstead St. Catherine Jamaica and he worked with me. I got married at 21 had my first child at 23. Now I'm a mother of 3. I know it's hard but continue to work on your fertility and try not to worry about it too much and it will eventually happen. I also have a cousin who's situation was worst than mine and she had to do a few operations and was thinking about surrogacy. She had her first child last year and the second thus year. God is able, trust him and in the process and you will be a mom. All the best.

People sometimes don’t understand that their comments or questions can hurt. They just assume that you don’t have kids because you don’t want to. Or they can’t understand how, let’s say, a 45 years old woman can get pregnant and doesn’t even realize that she’s pregnant! Well, it’s more than possible and normal if you have no menstrual cycle or it’s a very irregular one. I have PCOS and thyroid problems (it’s not “working” basically). I struggled for about 2 years, but I finally got my little miracle and she’s already 8! Good luck to you! 🌟

Thank you for sharing ! I also struggle with having kids with my PCOS. In 20 years, we have 7 pregnancies : 4, miscarriages, 1 stillborn and 2 rainbows kids in between 4 surgeries for ovarian tumors ! It’s a lot but I will come at the right time once you let go and let God! #blessing

My husband I waited 7.5 years trying to have a baby, I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS until 2 yrs before getting pregnant, so among a lot of tears there were some people thinking that we were too wrapped up in each other and don't want to make a baby..I even had to go to a fertility clinic...but by the grace of God we now have a 19 year old daughter. I am praying for you guys, I know the struggle.❤BTW, I was 33 years old when I had my baby.

Avri be encouraged. God has the final say. I can confidently say this. Doctors told me the same thing. Anxiety also can play a significant part in delaying the process. I had to do numerous tests etc., but with God's help today I am a proud mother of 2 children.

I also have pcos and I was told I couldn’t get pregnant at 16. I have a 4 year old now. Trying for number 2 and having issues again Wishing you all the best I was given medication to ovulate and given a schedule to have intercourse. It worked the 4th time

Nothing beats prayer. I was married for 8 years and trying to have a baby. After 8 years, we got our son, and 4 years after him, we got our daughter. Always, people would be asking us when are we going to have a baby, but that only depressed me, knowing how much we wanted to have that little one, and it just wasn't happening. But when it did, 3 months, and I didn't even know. So don't stop praying 🙏. Blessings and love for you both. ❤️🙏🇧🇧

I appreciate your transparency. I also struggle with PCOS and my husband snd i hab been teyin for 3 years. I have had 3 miscarriages ad also going through fertility treatment. I hate when folks are so incentive when it comes to things as such. People need to undertand that of someone and their partner has been together for how many years and doesn't have children and are very open to the fact that they want to, then maybe they have issues trying to conceive. Folks need to stop asking people when they are going to have kids, when they are going to do this, and that it's very rude. This too makes me uncomfortable because I don't want to have to disclose this to every one that asked me. Keep the faith guys, whatever that's in God's will let ot be done!. We 🙏 🤲 ❤️

Hubby and I were in your shoes not too long ago. I heard my PCOS diagnosis when I went in for a pre-TTC checkup. We did 12 monitored cycles where I was taking meds for egg growth and then triggering the ovulation. Apart from the meds, everything else was "natural", we still had to do the deed ourselves. That didn't work. And all that time I had a nagging feeling in my mind that something else was wrong. I pushed for a diagnostic endometriosis laparoscopy. I didn't have any of the endo symptoms, apart from painful periods (which can also be due to PCOS), but lo and behold - turns out I had stage 3 endo. It got excised and I got pregnant the very next cycle after they gave us the green light to try again. What I want to say with this is good luck on your TTC journey, but if you have intuition that something else might be wrong - push for more tests, advocate for next steps, don't give up. I'm not going to lie, this journey might be hard both emotionally and physically for both of you, but in the end it feels like you know a lot more about yourselves and it will create an even stronger bond between you if you see it as a hurdle to overcome and not a wall that stops you. And also, just a personal tip, don't focus on all the negatives and risks of PCOS. None of them are guaranteed. Infertility is not sterility - your baby will find you. 💕

Glad you shared your story . There are lots of young lady’s struggling with the same issues. If one doesn’t share it’s hard for others to know where to start their journey of trying. It’s unfortunate that it happens but never give up finding that one doctor who would know things to help. So specialized in this and are great at helping. Hi Avri i had PCOS as well, i changed my diet all together i didnt eat meat for 5 yrs, PCOS feeds off protein, i also worked out as well and after that i checked my tubes and shortly after that procedure i got pregnant my son is now 3yrs old, you will conceive when the time is right

My husband and I eventually had 3 children. And we were asked questions before we didn’t have any, that put pressure on our hearts because we wanted children . When we accepted that we would be ok wherever we had our natural children or not. Then three years later we were pregnant with our first child. 5 years oops we were pregnant with our second, and guess what 6 years later pregnant with our last child. We never used birth control , by choice . I have dear friend who has PCOS. She married and thought she would never be a mother. Drs told her that she would probably never conceive, but guess what, after 15 years of marriage she and her husband learned that they were pregnant. Without fertility assistance. Believe that all things are possible, though they may seem not possible. My prayers are with you guys

I had polycystic ovaries and I couldn’t conceive until I did my surgery and I have two beautiful children and had to do tubiligation because I became very fertile. My big problem was not getting pregnant but keeping the babies.l had hormone difficiencies and cervical incompetence. So l had 5 miscarriages and had to put stiches in the womb to have 2 children and one bed rest and 9 months of pain to have 1.BUT GOD IS GREAT AND WONDERFUL.

Hi Avri. be positive i am from Jamaica as well migrated to England 20 years ago, when I was ready for a child I was told I have PCOS ,so could not concise. My aGp refer me to the hospital for treatment they gave me(clomid) took it for 2 months then fell pregnant, good is great all things will work out don't stress keep calm it will happen 🎉

Sorry to hear your story. One day you will have your babies. I have 2 friends who have this same PCOS and today as I write they both have 3 children each naturally with no doctor intervention. Sorry to say; your aunt spoke negatively on your life not really realising her actions. Words are powerful. I suggest you also ensure to put it to God in prayers. What man cannot do God can do it. As far as I know there is a blogger family called The Chatwins who also had such a problem, but since their first pregnancy (after many years of trials they managed) to have many children without much problems. Even triplets :) Be optimistic and do what you can do in this case :) The worst thing is not to do anything, and not to do additional researches.

It will happen naturally avri keep praying trusting god..pcos is real... i had ovarian worries before and all manner of harmonal inbalance..your body need to reset and harmone need to be balance for pregnancy to take place....i have 4 beautiful kids...and now doctor said i have uterine fibroids..its uncomfortable at times but i am living by faith in my 40's
