@@markpeterson3220 Bach is amazing. I don’t think it’s fair to say that this is the “apex” of western music. Have you ever listened to a Mahler symphony, Beethoven symphonies, “La Mer” by Debussy , “Daphnis et chloe” by Ravel, Sibelius’ 7th symphony or “Finlandia”? My point is it’s useless to say that Bach is the “apex” of western music because there are so many more amazing and great pieces of music that has been written since Bach’s time. Saying that Bach was the “apex” is somewhat suggesting that music has gotten worse which I just think isn’t the case.

@olaflieser38129 жыл бұрын
Patrick Tobin Matter of fact - I know a few Americans who speak very, very clean, accent-free German (I'm a German native speaker). That seems to be doable for some. They speak just a little slower than Germans - but so very "pure" if you will. One can argue it does actually not matter whether you've got an accent anyway (I will always keep my German English accent for lack of talent to get rid of it). When you rehearse music pieces, you rehearse pronounciation as well, and so you'll be able to sing those very "purely" (for lack of a better word) as well. But most of all: Making this kind of music is so wonderful, it gets so deep and touches your soul.
