Some people question the quality of Chinese tools and equipment. Although I can’t endorse everything “Made in China,” I will endorse everything I see in this video demonstration. I have enough professional woodworking experience to know when a tool demonstration can be trusted; and, believe me, the jigs in this demonstration are exceptional. 1. The scribing tool is simple, accurate, and eminently useful. It looks and performs flawlessly. 2. The Festool rail-guide attachment appears to be reliable, as well. 3. The doweling jig, which is modelled after the Jessem Dowel Jig, is superior to anything in its category. Unlike the Jessem, the Chinese version offers a built-in clamping mechanism, which is so convenient. In addition to the jig’s doweling ability-which, from what I can see, is just as accurate as Jessem’s-the Chinese model offers you a handy and quick tool for installing knock-down connectors. Brilliant! Congratulations for the thoughtful addition! And what about the pin and guide that goes with it? Another brilliant accessory that the Jessem Dowel Jig lacks. I would have bought this jig instead of Jessem’s if it were around years ago. Don’t get me wrong; I’m extremely satisfied with the results my Jessem jig gives me, but the Chinese model looks superior in versatility. 4. The sled is excellent and reliable; there’s not much that can go wrong with it. 5. The router bits are excellent, as well; although I would have to compare them side-by-side with brand name bits to see which last longer. All in all, my experience with Chinese accessories is mixed: some are excellent, while others perform poorly. The items I see in this demonstration look top-notch.

Thanks for the detailed comment! I agree, Chinese manufacturers have stepped up their game, and many of their tools are impressive in terms of quality and functionality. However, it’s important to remember that they produce items in different price ranges, so buying the cheapest options isn’t always a good idea. It’s better to choose products that have been tested and proven. In this video, I showed tools that, in my opinion, are worth considering.

@@stuartjones1982 I purchased my new Domino when they were first introduced by Festool. In all of these years of ownership I truly haven’t used it as much as originally anticipated. I would not recommend one for this very reason. I maybe too set in my ways and the Domino is just meh! 🤷‍♂️
