I’m enjoying this. Here’s some info: worlds are randomly generated, so there’s nowhere you’re “supposed” to go. Just go wherever you want. Monsters spawn anywhere that is dark so if you see them it just means you should bring torches. The gold and red stone you tried to mine need an iron pickaxe, you need to get a furnace and coal to turn the iron ore into iron so you can make a better pickaxe. You slowly regain hearts if you have full hunger, so just eat some food and then wait a little. Just like you can’t dig down don’t dig up either. Dig diagonally making a staircase until you reach bedrock (an unbreakable block) from there you can mine in a straight line.

You could just use wood in an oven, so that's just a tip for before you get coal.

For straight down, just do 2x1 instead of 1x1 to have a block to use as a safeguard.

wood when you mine gold or redstone you need a more upgraded pickaxe by smelting your iron with coal (using a furnace) and making an iron pickaxe. Also you can gain more health by eating until your hunger bar is full. I recommend you make a house and replant the villagers crops. P.S iron golem protects village from mobs (zombies, creepers and skeletons) by hitting them.

Thanks for doing this Man! Gen Xer here. I been holding my old-school philosophy that die-hard gamers can figure out any game/controller without help. Buying this game for my 6-yr old has been the most humbling 12 hours in my whole gaming history. You can ride the pig if you get a carrot on a stick and a saddle and you get a saddle by going into a cave and finding a dungeon and a dungeon is a room with a monster spawner and you can smelt iron by putting it in a furnace and you make that by going in a crafting table with 8 cobblestone

Tips for playing Minecraft Fix your controls: you can remap your buttons in settings to make it easier to play I recommend mapping drop items to B and toggle perspective to clicking down the left stick Other tips: certain pickaxes can destroy different ores in order to mine gold, diamond, redstone, lapis and emeralds you at least need a iron pickaxe
