Greetings to the Awadhi people from one of India's 'lost son' all the way from Guyana (formerly British Guiana). My ancestors came as Indentured labourers from the Awadh and Bhojpur regions to then British Guiana from 1838 - 1917- more than 300,000 of them! I wish to embrace my Awadhi bothers and sisters. Hi. Southern African diaspora here. We have a department with the year 1890 ship record books. ( About 1million of us) Braj language is west UP ( Uttar Pradesh) , centre is Awadhi, west region is *Purvanchal* , there's also *Bhojpuri* , Bundelkhand, ( Ps: Hindustani, is a mix of Hindi and Urdu)
