Cantilevered slab to keep the trees alive. Brilliant!

I love King Bill, such a great house. I´m happy you made a video of it. Amazing spaces and beautiful details. What I love most is the respect for the existing trees, at some point, they determined not only the space but the structural solutions, like the slab. Those opened corner windows are some other level of beauty ❤

Just a brilliant home. Nice to have the resources, glad they didn't waste them on right-angles and tennis courts. #junkinplease

Holy shit, that is a house! How you've co-ordinated all those architectural ideas, styles, materials just blows my mind. The pod-like 'curved square' window opening at the front is fantastic.

Incredible language. The mix between the clients want for curves, ‘questioned moves’ and transparency create an impressive space!

Another great video! This addition/renovation really shows that constraint don’t need to be… ehh well constraints. You know what I mean! 😂 Love the super defined thresholds in the openings in the existing brick wall 😍

My architecture obsessed 13yo and i watched this together. She loved the no posts in the corner, the different spots everyone could be but didn't like the big master ensuite door to the net bed as bathfooms with 2 doors aren't good - everyone's a critic!! 😂😂😂 retained trees and natural light penetration a highlight for me!

I love it, how so much can be done with that many constraints. Your advice about taking the name out of plans during renovations, I’m definitely trying that out. However the glass railings for the kids space, I don’t know their ages but it should be fine. Beautiful.

AMA is taking low cost materials to elegant new heights. A lot like gehry on the early years. Can’t wait to see where ama goes.

Only just saw this video. I love this house very much, and indeed it has Chinese garden elements in it. AMA is really smart in thinking out of the box, as usual. Also, love Andrew Maynard's confidence - 'best architect in the world' lol! Well, definitely one of the best to me~!

Love it! What a journey of a house. Next time I'd love to see Kiah House - the 'onsen' shower/bath made me fall in love with Austin Maynard architecture. I would prefer a topless Andrew in there ;). I'd also love to see a tour of Charles House! And I need to rewatch your RaeRae House video :).

Wonderful to se the evolution of AMA ... this represents both evolution and an invitation to further simplify. Too many level changes for the overall space, we need to be careful of level changes as they interrupt flow. Like rooms with lot s of doors, level changess can turn areas into corridors. A couple here felt gimmicky (laptop area). Same with overhead louvres and joins/water shedding. Wonderful use of simply materials (zinc allum + chain link fencing). Great extension of boundaries, could have been better executed with less level changes or variations in how levels change (including outside). Not sure of the law but would have been good to see external stair to rear shed 2nd level. Side pod on old house was a boil. Lots of learning here.
