Meryl Streep is an artist who always challenges herself. No film star has ever shown such a diversity of characters and genres of film. Ms. Hepburn, on the other hand, basically played herself in every movie, keeping her Connecticut accent whether she was playing a Southern belle or the Queen of England. Hepburn was a great movie star but I am tired of people lauding her as an actress when she was always doing pretty much the same thing.

@@tatun9254 Jack Nicholson is phenomenal & legendary. He just has a very strong presence & persona on screen. Great acting doesn’t necessarily mean you have to completely become someone else unless you’re playing a historical or real life figure. Meryl transforms into her character but at the sam time, you can still recognize her aura, style, technique, persona, and voice tone on screen. It’s hard to explain, but I figure you’d know what I mean.
