Calling all Honda fans, this is a special one! On todays episode we feature Huy's (Inline Racing) 1991 AWD B-Series Turbo Acura Integra (DA9). This might be the first DA9 Integra fitted with AWD in the USA and it is definitely one of the cleanest 90's JDM sleepers we've ever seen! This car has an awesome history from a full restoration to the rare DA9 AWD swap, watch along to learn everything about this beautiful Japanese machine!

This is my favorite car you've done so far. Straight out of 2005. No flash, no stickers, nothing unnecessary. Full interior with amenities, and some proper sidewall height...for once.

Love seeing old parts still being utilized, these are the builds that I grew up around and is what got me into cars. Seeing all the new technology is great and all but its really nice to see this sorta thing. Huy is an absolute legend in the Houston scene.

For those that don’t know... Huy’s silver 25.5 chassis EVO in the background has run 8.5 @174mph. The Integra is an exercise in a super clean restoration w a unique AWD turbo setup. 9sec retro show car ain’t bad 😉

Nowadays it's really rare to see a 2nd-gen integra. I had one, B20V automatic trans DA7 but sold it last month to buy a H22 CD6 accord. Kinda miss it

Also got my 91 DA while in high school. First car. 15 years later still have it. With no plans to ever sell it. Currently going through a full rebuild though. Can’t wait for it to be back on the road already thought. It’s been too long.

Huy is the man. thats my TUNER HUY! Holy sh**!!!! i have been driving from austin texas to houston for 8 years and had my 2 allmotor hondas. 1 b series b20v and 1 k series k24/k20. My boosted gsr eg. And my evo X!! All of them are still running till this day and i beat the shit out of them daily and get runs in on weekends. What i love is the drive back to austin tuned making power! Boring anxious drive there AND A FUCKING BLAST AND BEST 2 HOUR DRIVE BACK Making power. Also all of the cars are sold and owners are still busting ass enjoying the cars and running Still on the original tunes form ILR. People love that my cars were tuned reliably and fast when they bought them and luckily i know all the owners of my vehicles i sold and they keep in touch lol

As someone whose first car looked almost exactly the same as this, this video absolutely made my day. There was so much more I wanted to do with the car, but I was in high school and didn’t have a job or anything, and I eventually had to sell the car, sadly. I needed the money badly and didn’t have any other options at the time. I just hope that the new owner was an enthusiast that did something great with it like this too.

That is a straight time capsule build, I love it! I still have an old ported JG intake on one of my B series. While their porting and Valvetrain isnt quite on par with a lot of the more modern stuff, it is perfectly fitting for builds of this era.

Vtec is for fuel economy. You don’t need vtec pass 3000rpm.

@@dragforlife8660 no. There is no need for vtec in racing. Vtec is like having 2 cams profiles. When people talk about vtech kicking in they are basically talking about the more aggressive cam profile kicking in. In racing your always on a more aggressive cam profile and are always hitting high revs so you don’t need the lower cam profile. Again the lower cam profile is for fuel economy. It’s good for city driving but if your pushing anything higher than 300hp your fuel economy is the last thing you should be worrying about. Non vtech is cheaper and parts are more available.

My buddy had a 89' All wheel steering Honda Prelude. He moved to Arizona from here in Wisconsin n the last I heard the car is just sitting in some random place 4 storage. Who knows if he lost it but i was mad he didn't hook me up with it. Man the fun things I could have done with that...
