What treachery? You can't get torque from the front tires, but you can get it from the rear wheels and the 'Cuda got it from a MOPAR engine.

As a Mopar guy I can attest... honestly the build on his 440 really isn't too extreme aside from the 13:1 compression.... but with the availability of E85 at the pump it's not out of this world to run that anymore. Those appear to be Edelbrock Victor heads which flow pretty well - the big factor would be the camshaft specs -- sounds healthy but nothing "insane"... I'd believe 630hp at the wheels as being legit. Factor in a high stall convertor and a 20% driveline loss that's ~800hp at the crank... nothing crazy. Putting it through a 10.5" slick would be the limiting factor honestly - fully tubbed with something like a 15" wide slick would definitely help off the line.

My first car was a 1967 fastback Barracuda formula S 4 speed 440. My Father bought it new back in 67' & later gave it to me when I was 14. It came with a 383 in 67' but my Father blew it up & then put a 440 in it. I miss that car. Fire engine red with black interior. She was nice. ❤️

‘Cuda really only applies to 1970+ cars (though the ‘cuda option package was available on earlier Barracudas), that’s a Barracuda. You’re right, it makes considerably more than 600 horsepower (it’s kinda hard not to make more than that out of a 13:1 440), but even if it didn’t, it still would’ve walked that Integra on that surface.

I use to bash the 4 cylinder cars but a stock 2.3 with a turbo in my 2021 Ranger and a 10 speed auto in a 4 door truck is just as fast as a stock 90s foxbody 5.0!! Very impressed with my new ranger just got a tuner waiting on a tune 80 hp 100 lb ft tq more tune only , 340 hp 410 lb ft tq at the crank. I will dyno before tune and after to verify numbers. I plan on 3 inch inner and outer charge cooler pipes. Catted downpipe catback exhaust and stage 4 turbo but one item at a time dynoing before and after each part is installed if youd like to see that hit thumbs up and ill do it. After all the mods i should be in the 400 hp range to the tires.

@@cerealfamine1 Well the guy said the Integra has made 1100hp at some point (might not anymore), he also didn't say if it was wheel hp, hub hp, or crank hp, plus it had a boost leak. The 'Cuda driver said the 440 made 635 to the wheels (using a whp guestimator website, 635whp RWD with a 3-speed torque converter = about 780hp crank) and that was probably N/A all motor + 200hp shot of nitrous would probably be close to 1000hp. Not to mention no turbo lag, more usable power band and V8's make more torque. I mean everything I'm saying is just a guess not facts. I was surprised how good the Integra launched, I was expecting it to spin and the 'Cuda take off from the line but maybe it was the weight.
