You know you have a young static addiction when - you wait for your stepson to take a nap to get on his phone because your own phone is broke just to get that Static "fix" lol it's been since pt.1 of awd crx.... Lol I need a phone cuz. Haha

Love the channel bro! Just wanted to let you know the wagon rear lca mounts further back compared to non AWD trailing arms so the mount on your jig won't line up.

The bottom mount doesn’t matter it’s the hub mount since the bottom mount will move because of the lca placement

I think you have problems putting the back half of the wagon trailing arms on that jig. Due to the camber bolt placement is shorter and the lca moved over a bit. I could be wrong I guess will see on the next video. Good luck and only positive vibes your way my man

From what I've read, a AWD swap on an ES9 EM2 chassis is possible using Element and CRV parts. The 4WD CRV engine subframes bolt into the 01-05 civic. The 4WD Element rear hubs bolt into the lower rear LCAS on the 01-05 Civic as well. The real fabrication is trimming the firewall, mounting the rear diff, exhaust routing, and relocating gas tank (I wonder if a Honda plastic gas tank will fit under there behind the diff?) I bought a $250 01 Civic, came with Hasport mounts for a RSX K20, DC5R suspension, and dc5-s brakes. Full interior. No fucking clue what I'm doing with it yet after a year of it sitting in my driveway.

Same boat dude
@claytonhaske6 жыл бұрын
I feel the reason most people are doing swaps on 92-00 civics, is because it has a tunnel for the driveshaft in the bottom of the car, no fabrication to the floor needs to be done. Sure, all the stuff fits 01-05 civics better, but alot of cutting has to be done to get it to work.

You using the wago rearend? You going to run different sized front and rear tires to make up for the difference in gear ratios between the transmission and rear end?
@Bigboinkies6 жыл бұрын
Richard Greer You should share the specs, some of these guys think that the ratios are the same.
@YoungStatic6 жыл бұрын
wagon* rear diff. wagon vc. im probably going to leave my wheel/tire matched and just shred tires then to make it look weird with different tire size or wheel itself.
@rgreerjr6 жыл бұрын
@@YoungStatic ive always heard thats a good way to destroy the diff's since they will be spinning at different speeds. I personally have never done anything AWD thats what I was asking. Keep up the great content man!
@Bigboinkies6 жыл бұрын
I dont know if it the specs are the same or not. Im just saying. I think its best to double check for gear ratio capatibility because binding is a real issue. You can bind so much the the drive shaft or something in the driveline will twist or snap.
@claytonhaske6 жыл бұрын
The VC will eat all the extra rotations. Same tire size should be fine.
