The resistor is sold as one with the lower motor module. It is located underneath the glove compartment. It’s a 10 minute job.

G37x is basically rwd until it detects slip, then the awd system can send power to either of the front wheels. This will not destroy your transfer case, there are plenty of people who have done this and ran it for years no issues

The engine doesn't have anything to do with awd or rwd. It's all in the transmission, not the engine.

​@@masonrutkowski995late reply but yeah, I did it to mine. I just have the switch under the passenger glove box because I rarely use it unless I want to drift. You can always put everything back the way it was and nobody would know. I've turned off AWD maybe 5 times for drifting in the 8 years I've owned my G. Turning off the front diff doesn't make all the extra weight from the front and center differential disappear, so it still doesn't drift as good as the RWD versions

Check out my drift video on the chanel. With the AWD black sedan. I would hardly call it drifting though 😂. But there was lots of smoke! The sad thing is, if you put an LSD from a 370z it's going to interfere with your AWD system. I haven't seen anyone do it yet

My G35xS (2008 Sport) is AWD & has LSD, I believe it only came on the G35XS versions, & the G35xS is already a pretty rare car to find. It's even harder to find a Manual G35xS sedan. Those are the true gems.

Nah mate. It will trigger a bunch of awd errors when in rwd mode. But it goes away as soon as you switch back to awd. Just remember, only turn the switch with the car OFF.
