I was planning to sell my 06 Impreza, I put a turbo on it but man i was craving a punch, planned to sell it but, watching this vid, ima do it! 🤙🤙👍🏼 Nice work, ans thanks for these vids help alot

You know… I’ve been thinking it would be cool to LS3 swap my c5. Can’t think of a better thing to do with the stock LS1 other than shove it in my 15 wrx.

I did the same thing in my 05 legacy. I lowered the cross member. Cut the hood on mine.

what do you anticipate the oil pan to ground clearance being ?

Not sure, the oil pan is relatively easy to modify unlike the transmission drain plug and pan which will probably be the lowest points

Um.......so you've removed the rad support, cut the subframe virtually in half, cut out a section of bonnet, left no room for a cooling system, mounted the engine to far forwards that it will effect the centre of gravity of the car and make handling bad. You do realise even in stock format an LS with blow that gearbox to bits? The cases are weak and will twist causing the gears to jam and smash them to bits, even an sti box needs work to handle the torque. You can not simply weld a bit of metal into that subframe either. It will need to be unpicked, ribbed, closed and seam welded back together, not to mention adding in structure for the engine mounts. There is a reason people make fabricated subframes for this job, to retain the correct geometry for the steering rack, Axel system and drive train. There are also reasons why people convert to rear wheel drive and use a correct transmission like a t56 and a custom tail shaft. This car will be an absolute death trap, I'm genuinely scared for you and anyone who gets in it.
