Have the track edition installed on my 2023 BRZ! Sounds amazing and install only took an hour! Everything fit perfectly! Welds were perfect!!!! 1000% satisfied with my purchase! And even cruising at highway speeds 70-80mph absolutely no drone in the cabin. Absolutely love it!!!!

I went to their website to find out what the 180 technology is, and it’s designed to cancel droning. I would assume it sounds exactly like this clip

What's the difference between touring and track? Touring actually sounds louder in these clips to me but maybe the way the microphone picks up tones?

Touring Edition has our patented, straight-through 180 Technology resonators in the rear to kill drone frequencies at highway speeds. There's no packing material in the resonators themselves, though, so the tone will not change over time. See imagery at awebrz86.com 👍

​...nope. the FA engine uses EL headers. The EJ (STI and prior gen outback). All modern Subaru with an FA or FB engine use EL headers.

How much louder is the touring version compared to something like the ARK Grip or HKS Hi power spec L? Seems like it's mostly a straight pipe design despite the extra drone canceling resonators.

Can't comment on the aforementioned brands, unfortunately. But you are correct with your observation, thus why 180 Technology is so great. Completely unrestricted and no funny business like packed mufflers or J pipe side branches. Full bodied tone without drone (and no tone change over time).

We perform the SAE J149 standard to test dB and the BRZ tested at 96 dB during that test. This is on par with what we would expect from any aftermarket exhaust system.

both are decently loud. and essential straight through designs. The touring just "tunes out" drone-causing frequencies (according to their marketing literature. not sure how CA does their dB test. Stay off WOT in town and you should be ok. You'll be right there w/ straifht-piped Harleys

You can double check that all of your connections are properly tightened. The break in period is about 1000 miles, due to natural soot buildup the system in general will mellow out.

The touring is only loud if you start inside a garage and it’s only for a max of probably 20 seconds then it goes back to low rpm’s. It’s honestly not that loud and it’s easy to keep it quiet while driving and loud when u want it to be
