Yes! I like the fact that you can slow retrieve and all the fish can see and smell your bait haha.

That's the best feeling, when you are stuck, thinking you just flushed $10 down the toilet, and then WHAM! Your lure pops free and a fish takes it! And it was a Roi! Another great video, we gotta get out and fish those glow lures from J21 Lures, looks they they were slaying!
@YessahFishing4 жыл бұрын
Yes that Roi surprised me big-time, gettum off the reef! Full moon would be perfect to get those j21 glow grubs in the water for sure. The past few times we were out the northwest side during a full moon the clouds were covering it, once that happed, fish activity was really slow, when the moon finally came out then we were cranking reds.

My favorite fish to eat is that Poopaa the rock fish, I haven seen you guys eat one yet! Next one you guys catch keep em! Literally only 10 big bones(the pin and the ribs) when you fillet just cut regularly like any other fillet, skin it, and go with your finger and feel the pin bones(should feel a line of like 5-6 pin bones) and loblcate the upper half of the filet(the back of fish not the belly) and just cut the pin bone out by slicing just on the side of it. If you want to eat the belly part which is really good slice the pin bones out and discard, and just remove the ribs with your finger or fish tweezers but just make sure you don't pull them at an angle pull them like you're pulling out white hairs for your mom. What I like to is just salt pepper flour and fry em and eat with chazuke(rice w/green tea and furikake mixed all in one bowl) and shoyu on the side to dip

Thanks for the great advice! I have tried poopaa when I was a young boy, had it in a black bean soup style sooo Ono! Next one we catch we are going to keep it for sure. Possible catch & cook episode in the near future!

Hope you didn’t eat that Roi bro haha! How long does it take to get from the Acres to the fishing spots?
@YessahFishing4 жыл бұрын
No I didn't 😅 still cannot trust lol. The acres is pretty much in the middle of the South spots and East side fishing spots. Either way you're looking at driving 30 plus miles no matter which way you go. Before covid, was best to go during a work day. Now it doesn't matter when you go, weekend or work day going have quite a few people around and good spots taken. Still good to have a four-by-four here on the island.
