To wrap up this wonderful season and celebrate a year’s worth of creating these videos, Kimi Werner and team take this one back to her roots. Three pronging for fry fish is how it all started and sharing her catch with others is what created this lifestyle of sustainability and community. The first video I saw of you guys were Aku bones, poke etc. 5 months ago and within the first few minutes I subscribed and clicked the notification bell. I am originally from Thailand but currently live in Germany. 5 months ago was tough with all the pandemic here, losing jobs, curfew and being far away from home made me depressed. I can’t leave my house or do things outside much. You videos are something that kept my spirit uplifted and it feels like I get to go outside and do all the fun stuff just watching you. Much Mahalo Kimi!!!!! Watching Buddy grow up reminds me of how I brought my oldest up. He was sitting in a car seat at 9 months old and I handed him a fishing pole and wouldn't you know it.... he got his first Halalu. He was 4 years old when he saw me jump off of a cliff to show off my powder techniques to my friends and when I turned around and looked up all I saw was my son bee lining for the ocean like me. He could tread water but I was so shocked that he was not afraid of the ocean... like his dad. Now my mini... errrrr.... monstah me..... is finding tako by himself and hunting and cleaning his own catches. I am reliving my past through you and your Ohana. Love these videos!!!!

Seeing your new family begin and remind me of how our son's first year was paralleled to Buddy's is a wonder. In Florida we lack the clear waters for diving, but we make up for it in fishing. The same way that buddy learned to stand up by using the benches along your yard, ours learned by bracing himself to surfboards on the beach.
