Youre my favorite KZbin bass teacher, you give alot of small detail info that others just ignore and expect u to pick up along the way. You actually talk about stuff 'inbetween'. Also your calm and beginner-friendly demeanor is very nice. Keep it up!

Thanks Dan - great exercise. I always struggled with pull-offs as but only realised from watching you that essentially it just means you pluck the next note from the previous fret using your left hand rather than with your right hand…seems blindingly obvious now, but I guess I always confused it with pops from slap style.

This is a great tutorial for those of us who travel a lot and miss out on weeks worth of practice. This combined with some of your other practice sessions help to reinforce those bass key bass skills.

That first exercise three note pattern per string is what I used all the way up and down the front board to “unlock “the fretboard and learn all the notes all the way across the front board in the major scales in their modes. I still do that exercise every time I do any major scale exercises that’s the first one I do.

Thanks Dan. In the second exercise in the video, does it always turn out to be a hammer on? Both when moving up and when moving down?
@OnlineBassCourses4 ай бұрын
It’s hammer-ons ascending and pull-offs descending. Make it your own though!

Are you listening on a phone or tablet? Might be best to listen on decent speakers or use headphones and you’ll hear it fine then. 🙏
