One thing i like to do with any triad exercise is to add fingering permutations. For example take a root triad 1-3-5 and keeping the root on the bottom, play 1-5-3, 3-1-5, 3-5-1, and so on. There are 6 combinations for each root or inversion. Add in alternate fingerings and this can be pretty big.

i think i lost you already... i get the first inversion C/E would be EGC but then you go to the D/F# inversion wouldn't it be F# A D first instead of the D on the 7 fret on the G string??

Hi Joann, i thought this at first but then i realised, its because in the inversions he is going back down the triad starting from highest to lowest... So first inversion (3rd, 5th, Root) is played Root (D), 5th (A) then 3rd (F#) 😊 Hope this helps, took me a few looks to figure that out as well 😂

Yes, see below! I’m changing the order of notes to mix things up a little and make it sound a little more musical. Of course, play the notes in any order you like.

Not this one, no! Although, if you slow it right down, it will become more manageable.
