OMG! This is awesome. I am transported back to 1975 as a 15 year old girl listening to the Young Americans album for the first time. Huge lump in my throat ...oh and here come the tears of joy and nostalgia and remembrance and mourning. Thank you for this gem.

While it's obviously great to hear these newly released tracks, what stood out for me was Ava Cherry's version of" Sweet Thing", wow, what a beautiful voice, only heard previously on backing vocals. Loved the guitar on this version too. Thankyou for a great upload. David Bowie.. what a (future) LEGEND and now he really is a STARMAN 🌠⭐🌟✴💝

It's a shame he didn't stick with The Gouster stuff when he made the album. Young Americans needed some of that energy and excitement. Shilling The Rubes is a song I never thought we'd get to hear in full so thank you for sharing it. Hopefully it'll see an official release some day. It has that mystique Bowie usually had but seemed to be lacking on Young Americans. After Today, there is a slightly slower version on Sound And Vision, but this version just has so much more energy, almost sounds like a live recording without the audience. Then again, I guess that's exactly what it was.

MT, I’m so excited to hear this! Thank you so much for posting! I love the full Shilling the Rubes, but even more I’m so happy to hear the full version of I Am a Laser!! It was so jarring hearing the partial recording that ended so abruptly that was all that was available elsewhere on KZbin. And I love this earlier version of Young American! It’s so interesting to hear them working on these songs. And who’s singing Sweet Thing?! ❤️
