Beautiful day and I was very disappointed to see all them crabs dumped. It gives us fishermen a bad name. Thanks for watching and hope you have a wonderful weekend.

He's mad because you interrupted his mating lol

That jumbo one was really mad because you broke up his mating session up with his female. When a male crab is holding a female underneath him, it is because she is ready to molt and mate. They do their "deed", then he continues to hold her under him for about 24 hours until she'd hard enough to go on her own. You shouldn't have disturbed him and his girl.

Great information. Thanks for sharing, and in the future, I will not disturb.

Good tip about leaving the ice chest cracked a little. A lot of people don't do this and end up with dead crabs. That's probably what happend with that big pile of dumped crabs.

How do you tell between male and female
@Fish-Man-Mike23 күн бұрын
Look at the bottom of the crab. A male has a shape of a male private part and a females bottom looks Rounded. Also female crabs usually has like red-orange claws. You probably could google to see a picture. In my future video I will show the difference. Thanks for watching.

Hello, there. This is the first time I've ever seen. That type of trap that you use on your fishing rod. Where do you get them from? It's interesting. Nice video I live here close to Crystal River. Pretty much do the same as you hop from one spot to the next until I find some.
@Fish-Man-Mike3 ай бұрын
I purchased these off Ebay, but you can purchase similar traps at Bass Pro. Thanks for watching.

The ones at Bass Pro don't have the mesh to put the chicken in. I prefer them and use a zip tie to hold it on.
